Fair enough pal. For me you are welcome in here because you don’t take the piss and don’t try and antagonise people for no reason. Your “colleague” Jack Hackett is frankly an antagonistic piss taking wankstain - be honest, could you imagine a City fan going onto an arsenal forum and make anything like as many snide posts and being allowed to remain? He really is a weird fucker, apart from winding people up I don’t see what his rationale is for being here
GunnerGer doesn’t fall into this bracket , something about Arsenal fans that is quite weird.
Enjoy their pain !

I wouldn't imagine money is an issue, more the fact that it's bad business to buy Rice before Phillips has been sold. His value will diminish and we could also be stuck paying his wages or having to force him out and cover them. He's at his most valuable right now, before the replacement has arrived. Better to get him out, bring in a return and then buy Rice than have him sat there and watch his value decrease as clubs know it's because he's never playing.

Ultimately Rice will be a player we want, but everything else has to be in shape to accommodate him.

But dont West Ham want Kalvin? Depends on himself as well i guess as maybe Bayern do want him and he fancies that over West Ham?

It's about what Phillips wants. He's just said he wants to stay, is encouraged by seeing Grealish's improvement etc. And now we're saying - here are some offers for you. Maybe he'll take them and leave, maybe he'll be like Zinchenko and back himself to stay and get his place. The difference is, there's a Euro's next summer which he's unlikely to be a part of if he stays at City and that might just convince him. It's a tough one, credit to him if he does back himself to be fair. He's just won the lot barely playing, that might make him want it for himself, or he might resign himself now to that being the pinnacle and seeing if he can go win things for himself at a slightly lower level.

I like Romano more than most on this forum, but it’s annoying when he tweets just for the sake of tweeting. This tells us nothing
As I think someone alluded up page, if Rice only wanted Arsenal and only Arsenal were in for him then the deal would already be done. This feels fairly significant imo (although repeating noises we already sort of know about).

So your opinion that we can't/won't do the Rice deal if Kalvin does not leave is based on lack of finances rather than Kalvin taking up a squad space?

Not a lack of finances, more a sense of value we place on Kalvin and Rice.

We wanted Van Dijk, but we all saw Khaldoon saying his £75m valuation was way over what we would be willing to pay.
