And it's not just the money. If Partey leaves and they get Rice for the 6, Xhaka has left and it looks like they want Havertz for the 8 (?), those are two HUGE positions in this system. The way City have generally done it for those types of spots is a gradual handover or with other players that can play the position. I don't think Arsenal have that and i think it's gonna be a mini-miracle if those two immediately hit the ground running.This is a great point; it puts major pressure on them from the get go in a different way to last season.
They are a really good team but they had a bit of an anomaly for half a season where they trended for 100 points and then they defaulted to their average.
Havertz and Rice really good signings for them though given where their weak spots were.
