Bit bizarre spending 5m on someone we could have signed on a free only 8 weeks ago.

That money could've paid for loads of more worthwhile causes, like a holiday for everyone on here...or a free season ticket...or a small island off the coast of Ireland!

Like last year with Van Persie we had all our eggs in one basket for Pepe, which similarly didn't materialise.

Strange how City get next to sweet f*ck all for their discarded players yet here we are spending £3m on a player who was given way for nothing, as Pellegrini let his contract run down, and is past it.

I would have expected that too, but Pelly seems to be a cool character and maybe he wanted to check out Boyata first. As we are led to believe, he has to utilize the squad in a way that everyone is expected to play a part rather than doing a Sinclair, and if we hadn't lost VK, Micah and Nasty right at the season's start, there would have been no crisis.

Demichelis march to City

Finally Demichelis leaves transferred to Manchester City with a lightning Atletico Madrid report around five million euros.

The Chilean coach, Manuel Pellegrini, known as shared qualities costume in Malaga last season and his move specifically requested to strengthen the defense of the 'citizens'. The injury of captain, Vincent Kompany, has been crucial.

The move has been perfect for the club Manzanares as Argentine defender came free in this summer transfer market and leaves leaving a good amount for Atletico.

Expectation is that Demichelis fills Kolo role from last season, filling in whenever needed. Hope then is that Rekik returns ready from PSV.
