Derby post match thread 10/09/2016

It's very interesting that a performance like that is being eroded to a 'untied could have had a point'

I watched it in Copenhagen with no commentary, no half-time or full-time analysis and no Sky Sports News on Saturday. Then I watched the Sunday Supp and read a few things on here and online and what they are saying just is t what happened

We hammered them from start to finish in terms of individual and tactical performance. Yes, they had a couple of half chances, nothing any other team in the league wouldn't have and a couple of very dubious penalty claims(again, nothing any other team wouldn't have). The reviews of Bravo are ridiculous and they are either thick or have a clear agenda about a foreign keeper with a new way of doing things that they don't like

The only thing United deserved out of that was a hiding, never mind a point!

Our players don`t get awards
Our managers don´t get awards.
Why would you expect anything other than the deliberate, concerted undermining of our performance?
What is incredulous, is the press and media failure to recognise the best manager in the game having such an impact already and enhancing the EPL even more. That is a true sign of how far they will go to pander to the click bait sheep of the rags and dippers. They make Comical Ali look like Richard Dimbleby.

True fans do, but in my conversations out here in the sticks, those who didn't see the game think it was close and Utd were unlucky not to get two penalties, these views are not expressed by people with an axe to grind, they've just picked it up from what they've seen, heard and read.

The rags control the message, we don't even come close.

Actually, in some ways it's good. Mourinho f**ked up royally by starting Mkhitaryan and Lingard and we definitely benefited from nobody running at us in the 1H like Rashford or Martial. All this "we were robbed stuff" will prevent them addressing the real issues they have. And Mourinho is so pig-headed, he will not self-correct.

Let them have their moral victory. We'll take the points and the knowledge that we are better prepared to win the war.

Why are people raving about Ibrahimovic's goal? Even City's twitter said he "volleyed in spectacularly"! Bravo dropped the ball at his feet and he knocked it into an unguarded net, there was nothing special!

can someone please help.

I have feelings for David Silva.

As @karen7 has alluded, it's perfectly natural to love Spanish Dave.
I myself want to look after him and make sure that he eats properly and gets a good night's sleep.
Anything else is just wrong and would sully him.

Just watched it again, what a match.
Mourinho is a ****, whinging as usual after the match saying they should of got 2 pens

Why arn't the club not doing it ? Assuming their not

I wish they would kick up a fuss about such thuggish behaviour by other teams - the fucking Rags especially .

The fucking media are quick enough to pick anything carried out by City players.

I've watched match twice (on Sky) plus MotD &'Goals on Sunday analysis. I also took a peak at what they had to say on Sunday Supplement but haven't seen MNF comments.

The reaction on Sunday Supplement was probably the most pleasing, with some real recognition of just how impressive those first 40 minutes were. I am sure plenty of people who watched the full game, especially the red hordes, were taken by surprise, both at how good City were and how bad the rags were. Make no mistake the rags underperformed but that was not simply down to themselves, it was also a reaction to how City imposed themselves on the game - Pogba looked shellshocked.

Anyone familiar with Pep and / or who had studied our first few games under him should not have been surprised by City's performance because it was just a progression of what Pep does.

City were brilliant, be it the superb football of the first half or the dogged determination to repel all boarders as the red bandits lobbed mortar after desperate mortar into the box in the final minutes. Better players, working harder, following superior tactics. The gulf was large. However, the rags do not have to play us every week so it doesn't mean we will open a huge gap up over them or any other team. It's early days but the signs are there that Pep is bringing the hoped for revolution to English football. I am determined not to get carried away but it is impossible not to be massively excited about the immediate future of our beloved club.

And not forgetting we did it without Sergio , Kompany , Gundogan and a fully fit Sane

You are correct, they don't have to play us every week and they will have enough to be the shit in this league like they have done already. I can see a 3rd or 4th place finish unless they make some very big decisions regarding Rooney, Pogba, Rashford, Smalling etc

Anyone found him yet? ;)

I would die to own a T.Shirt like that.
Dragons den anyone ?

Just remembered a funny bit about Saturday. We were in the little section on the left hand side of the big away quadrant, just above the tunnel where the United fans leave. So essentially just on top of them. Loads of em giving it the v's and wanker sign as they were walking up the stairs to leave and a lad walks up with the biggest smile i've ever seen, fist pumping to the City fans. If you're on here pal, I salute you.

If any of you have the chance, I urge you to read the Saturday morning papers from before the game. Daily Mail is a right hoot. 'WATCH OUT FOR ZLATAN!!!'

What happened to that little note he sent to Bravo about neededing a training kit - turned out he didn't!

They are right - his nose can royally impale you if you're not careful.
