I think Otamendi reads the play better.

I'd have started this team.

To drop Sterling after his last league match would make very little sense wouldn't it.
 
Pretty surprised at that - Otamendi over Mangala seems a strange one, and I expected Navas to be in. Not overstruck by having Fernando in either - let's hope Yaya can have more of an influence from that more advanced position than he has on previous occasions when he's started there in the past couple of seasons.

But all that said: I still expect us to win, and fairly comfortably - provided, of course, that we turn up with the right attitude. A good start will be important - get them on the back foot and put them to bed early.
 
Is mangala on the bench ? Happy with the line up but just would have liked mangala in there instead,hope I'm proved wrong and ottamendi like the other ten has a blinder today and even pops up with a goal....
 
Good midfield for the Rags - no excuses. That must be full strength for them?

As I just said in another thread, no hiding place today. Time for Sterling to prove he's worth £49m. KdB needs to be brilliant today, and Bony needs to run himself into the ground.

As is usual on Derby day, I'm shitting it.

its awful isn't it, i hate derby day unless we win.
 
Otamendi is an experienced and amazing full back, played the WC final and de Copa América, seriously there is people saying he has been abysmal? You have absolutely no idea about football, hope you enjoy the match today.

Vinny has a habit of diving in as well. If I was LVG, I'd brief Martial to try and isolate either of those two and go down easy.

Aren't we all,nerves starting to kick in and I start going to the toilet every ten mins till kick off...
 
I think the reason for Otto starting is his passing is slightly better and we need that since we don't have many options moving forward.
 
Bony definitely needs to have 'Aguero' work rate today. No sauntering around moaning about not getting the ball.
If we get an early goal it will put the fear in the rag cunts.
Another 6-1 for us would make my season!!!
