Devante Cole: "City don't care about English kids"

Is this not the point? The club see more than we do. Pellegrini will see both Garcia & Barker every day. He sees them NOW, not in last season's EDS.
Garcia was chosen to make a second senior appearance, I wouldn't be questioning why Pellegrini chose him over Barker who you rightly say has been much more impressive in the EDS. You should question what Barker isn't doing whilst training with the first that would mean he falls behind a much younger and less physically developed lad.

Barker to me seemed reliant on pace and power to run his man, that pace will not be anywhere near the asset at senior level as it is at youth.

Garcia has looked better in the first team in what I've seen than he has in the EDS. Perhaps we are now, after all these years picking players best suited to our end game.

Barker will get minutes, in my opinion, rightly or wrongly he will get minutes where he can express himself best, thus bumping up his sale value.

I hope I'm wrong, really do, but I doubt Barker will ever be good enough to play for us regularly. Garcia, I personally see a future, maybe just maybe.

Hiwula and Devante Cole were ahead of Iheancho in terms of EDS experience and goals, yet the club rushed through Kelechi.
I agree with much of what you're saying, but purely for those last 8 minutes I would have much rather seen Barker make his debut than Garcia get another appearance.

Oh come on, stop the moaning, that Cole lad is a ****, fook off him and good luck.

Yesterday's it was a 5-1 rout to the very good Eagles side , probably Barker was subbing Yaya but the Zaba injury altered plans; all in all there were 3 -fookin three- teenagers in the squad both scoring and one man of the fookin match. Some blues are easily wummed by the rag media agenda.

That's because Kelechi was clearly better, as Barker is clearly better than Garcia, by some distance.

Maybe he thinks Garcia will make it one day, to a higher level than Barker but that would make it a nonsense having Barker on the bench in the first place when another kid worthy of a chance could be there.

Barker is faster, more skillful, & a better finisher than Garcia. He should have been on first, instead of Roberts, because that is his position & because he deserves the chance, & then Roberts should have been on, because he also deserves it.

Garcia should have been with the EDS at Chelsea on merit, not the first team, except he wouldn't have got in that team either.

So you'd rather he was 3rd choice right back (since we had Sagna & Zaba fit at that time) rather then playing in Turkey?

Don't twist the facts to suit your story.

Not twisting any fact, posted it, predicted it. Some of us on here said before the season started, that Denayer covered three positions & should be retained at City, thus enabling Iheanacho to take a place in the Champions League squad as backup for when Aguero, INEVITABLY, got injured. And also that Zaba is on his last legs, along with Demichelis.

I said I thought Denayer would quickly become our first choice right back, as he is head and shoulders a better player than the current two. I have since been pleasently surprised by Sagna.

The idea of blindly trusting these people to get every decision correct, is nonsense.

I'll trust the clubs judgment with the youth players. They know better. I am sure Barker will get his chance. As for Cole - Where has he gone to. Seems like sour grapes to me. A lad with a chip on his shoulder. Good luck to him, time to move on.

Cole should have made it imo & it's probably his attitude which prevented it.
