Dickov

Probably the most crucial goal for the Football Club in the last 30 years was his against Gillingham.
Intend on my grave to have carved "Wiekens-Goater-Dickoff-Goal !".
Its a Manchester City thing
How any body can moan about the guy is beyond comprehension but probably not there at a match where were we were re born.
Good Luck Paul

I have met him a couple of times & he was in TGIs in Prestwich this afternoon but i just never saw the things in him that people believe they did .if scoring a goal at Wembly makes someone a legend it is a pretty narrow definition

im not just on about that goal mate, but why does everybody love bellamy? because he gives 200%? or is it his prolific goalscoring? i remember meeting dicky at deepdale after a pre season tournament with preston, barnsley and tranmere, and after he got that red card for butting someone cant remember who, he came up to the fans after the game, and il never forget his words, he said to me 'dont do what i did before, but always give your all' he then said to me dad 'he did deserve it though didnt he' and to me that summed dicky up, not an excellent football player but one who cared and had passion and always gave his all
Man City Legend in his prime playing against Preston, Barnsley & Tranmere .I rest my case

I don't know how people can say we'd never want him as a manager considering he's not even had a go yet. Personally I love the guy, and we may be richer now, but I know who I'd rather have with me in a fight out of him and Robinho.

Let's face it, it's not unheard of for unremarkable Scottish players to do pretty well managing Manchester (or thereabouts) clubs, so I hope he goes on to work wonders with Oldham, gets 'em back to the prem, then signs up for us and goes onto be the greatest British manager for a generation. There's a lot of variables in this theory, obviously.

People must have short memories .I remember Paul getting slagged off loads of times when he was at City plus he was slaughtered by the fans when he returned with Leister .but oviously people on here, just like the Yanks want to rewrite history

been to latics many times as i'm from oldham

if he manages with the same passion as he plays then they will do well.
