People must have short memories .I remember Paul getting slagged off loads of times when he was at City plus he was slaughtered by the fans when he returned with Leister .but oviously people on here, just like the Yanks want to rewrite history

So what cause he had his moments at City we can't wish him the best for his future career. Jesus Christ some people on here
When did i say you cant wish him all the best for the Future Jesus Christ some people on here .Read what i actualy said not what you belived i said

He couldn't start regularly in our worst ever team and showed us what he thought of us on his return with Leicester.

No time for him, but I hope he does okay.

Don't understand the stupidly negative comments by some on here about someone who basically is 'one of us'. So what if he celebrated when he scored against us for Leicester? Franny Lee celebrated like he'd won the world cup on his scoring return to Maine Road with Derby - did City fans think any less of him back then?

Paul has never hidden his love for City and to be honest I don't think he ever will. Alright older posters may not tag him legend status when they have the likes of Colin Bell as a comparison but for younger City fans the likes of Dickov & Goater are heroes in retrospect of what they have seen the club achieve.

Steve Bull is an idol to a generation of Wolves fans yet he never played a single top flight game for them. The comparison stands similar.

Seriously pisses me off when City fans who are old enough to have seen the greats of the 60's & 70's 'look down' on younger less fortunate fans and nit-pick at there choice of 'heroes' because talent wise they aren't on the same platform as ones they idolised.

Best of luck for the future Paul and I hope you make every success of the opportunity that has opened for you.

you clearly stated that and I quote "I remember Paul getting slagged off loads of times when he was at City plus he was slaughtered by the fans when he returned with Leister. but oviously people on here, just like the Yanks want to rewrite history"

only because a player was slated for poor performances and slagged off for playing for another team doesn't mean we hated him, I was giving Dunne shit when we played Villa doesn't mean I hate the guy just means I don't want him performing well against us. I just don't understand why on a topic where people are wishing Dickov luck someone has to go on about how people slated him at City for shit performances.

I think I also heard/read that Oldham are looking at relocating.
What? No more Boundary Park? No more 'coldest-place-on-earth'? They'll have to install a deep-chill system that blast out cold air if they're relocating. The loyal fans won't know what's hit them, otherwise. Heatwave in Failsworth?

Its not the fact you said we can't wish them luck, its the fact you were banging on about us slagging off Dickov in the past, this topic was created for the purpose of wishing a former legend good luck at Oldham I just don't understand why someone has the need to feel to come on and go "oh doesn't anyone remember slagging him off in his City day's or slating him when he was at Leicester" I'm sure Goater got his fair share of Critics as well as the likes of Rosler what so does that mean we can't wish them luck with out the fun police reminding us that we slated them??? Thats all I was trying to get across
