Haven't had a drop off alcohol for months... and Blues who know me on here can vouch for this.

The funny thing is I don't drink unless I'm away on holiday or if there's a special occasion (City at Wembley falls into this category) as I can't afford to be pissed due to my job. My days of doing drugs are behind me as well, if you don't count the big fat spliff I have before bedtime! Haha!

Is certainly mature and intelligent enough to know how fickle and blinkered many football fans are.

Several 'high profile' internet Blues backed the slanderous anti-Pellegrini stance/song that was disgraceful. But best to let bygones be bygones and maybe for those people, the "Pellegrini has won nowt so must be a shit manager" types included, they should trust in our highly qualified Spanish chiefs in future, the chiefs who seem to have nailed this summer's transfer window and who have brought in a manager who will play the best football (on a consistent basis) City fans have ever seen... with hopefully the success to follow of course (I'd be staggered if our trophy rate dropped).

I don't think the club helped themselves in the 24 hours prior to the final, but it was bloody embarrassing queuing to get in, and 70% of the queue were joining in with the song. It had been a great day until then (ie whilst not at Wembley), but it went quickly downhill from there, followed by the sit down, stand up arguing crap in the seats, the idiots chucking up in the aisles/over people, the fighting, and eventually the final result.

It really wasn't one of City's finest afternoons, was it ?

Getting back to the thread title............................... because the cup final and the sacking were over 3 months ago now and surely it's all water under the bridge.....................

I felt that maybe Mr Pelegrini didn't want a big thing made of his first match in charge out of respect for the fact that we were honouring Bert Trautmann and he did not want attention diverting from Bert to Pelegrini. Plus he doesn't come over as a man with a huge ego. I like him for that. Just my take on the fact that it was low key.

This happened months ago, I can't even remember it to be honest.
