Digital Flags?!?

Im missing the banners that used to drape from level 2, and annoyed at the over zealous stewards that are preventing fans now draping them over level 3- i saw one steward today removing a banner that was in place because he deemed it too large despite the fact its been at the ground on numerous occasions for years, without annoyance to anyone. It seems the club and its stewards are determined to rid the place of any individuality and passion other than what is shown on websites and advertising boards by those who may buy a 'Citizen Card' and class themselves as city supporters that have 'been there and done it' if they have been to one match in their lifetime.

Can you imagine the stewards on the Kop removing banners from the fans?

MCFC, YOU NEED TO ALLOW US TO SHOW OUR PASSION IN THE STADIUM ON A MATCH DAY WHEN IT MATTERS.

Yes, yes I can because it's their job to do what the club tells them to do!

I'm not saying all Showsec stewards are angels, but if you are pissed off at the banner issue it's nothing to do with the stewards and everything to do with the club.

And no I aint a steward.

Whilst it's the modern era and football is slipping ever more towards increasing revenue streams and advertising opportunities, i'm personally in the camp of being against this 2nd tier 'digital flag' nonsense, it's soulless and frankly embarrassing.

There seem to be a few who sort of don't mind or don't care or aren't fussed either way etc, just want to watch footy etc

So, is there anyone who actually supports this development? And if there is nobody who supports it, it begs the question; are British/English football fans too spineless to stand up in numbers to mass corporatisation and commoditisation of football?

The orange coats work for Man City directly, so have to do what the club asks. Show Sec are another story so depends on their attitude sometimes. There is no charge for a digital flag.
Atmosphere : we can only blame the masses of blues that come and sit on their hands and don't join in with the East and South stand. Flags don't create atmosphere, people do

As someone who took a flag every week to hang over the front of level 2, I was a bit naffed off but at the end of the day I havent invested a billion quid in to the club so its out of my hands. It wont affect me watching the match whether my flag is there or not.

Does that make me spineless, I dont think so, just not bothered enough to warrant joining an uprising against people who have transformed the club and the football I watch. If they were churning out teams to play like Stoke every week I would certainly be writing a strongly worded letter.

The City Voice poll this week is about what we want to see on the big screens.
Options are:

- Live match coverage
- Goal and incident replays
- Live footage of the crowd (!)
- Other
