Pep has a 6 second rule that involves hard work to retain lost possession. That's the main thing that has suffered in toure's decline. He could well be used as a deep lying playmaker but he'd still be expected to work hard.

Fair enough I take your point that we need numbers to fill positions but with all due respect, the guy hasn't even kicked a ball in the city shirt yet...
not a slight on Ilkay at all, just I think we needed two genuinely top class CMs to come in this summer to put our midfield up with the best.

@unlikelyfan19 why do we need to wait and see if he can be arsed and will lose the weight when we've waited 2 years for him to do it? why wait for him to use up a squad spot sitting on the bench when we can get rid and get someone in who can genuinely improve our midfield and be up to it. Yaya's had 2 years to show he can be arsed and he's failed.
