Great decision city,i have been to all the fa cup games but not on the cup scheme just incase something made it impossible for me to get to one of the games.
I should get a ticket as i have over 4000 points but not before someone who say has a 1000 points who will get better seats.
Guess being a season ticket holder for over 30 years years doesn't mean a lot.
Its not 31500 tickets going to season ticket holders anyway as the club have plenty to sort out before they go on sale ie hospitality, supporters clubs.

ABSOLUTELY SPOT ON.

seasoncard holders first - done on loyalty points like away games.

then anyone else after.

if it's about LOYALTY, stick to it city.

some loyal fan for 16 months, get's a pick of a bunch before me.

clueless city as always.

And that is all this is about.

Here, have a hug.

mate, i've been to EVERY single cup game/friendly since i've had my seasoncard.

but cause i'm not in the cup scheme it seems like it doesn't matter.

wow it saves you ringing up, big fucking deal.

does someone not having to make a phonecall to get the ticket, entitle them to get tickets to a semi before everyone else.

half of these cup scheme people don't even go, it's a fact.

the whole thing is a farce.

Oh its a fact is it... prove it.

You haven't yet given a decent reason why its a bad idea and i haven't seen a decent retort to anyone who disagrees.

You're going way ott looking a bit silly calling City and everything seemingly connected.

It's a good motive. I like it.

so its a good thing that we are going down the same road as the rags ?

because the club are basicly saying, join the cup scheme or no ticket for any neutral cup games.

in that way i think you insane, how can you think thats a good thing.

You know that sign ups next year will go through the roof, so although your not forced like at OT. You wont be seeing any of the big games again.

No they are saying. Join the cup scheme and you get priority. (which I can understand after the frankly woeful attendances)

What is wrong with the club trying to get higher attendances next season in the cups. It has been our support that has let the club down by not attending. The club have now shown a carrot to try and encourage people next season.

As for calling me stupid and a fuck wit, wind your neck in. I have not been abusive to you.

The club are saying, join the cup scheme and you will get first jibs on a ticket. If there are tickets left, which there will always be, then they will go to season ticket holders with loyalty points.

If the cup scheme takes off next season, which it will, the cub will have to look at it again. However, I don't think we will ever have 20,000-30,000 fans in the cup scheme.

Like I said. It wouldn't surprise me if city split the PL and cup points next season. Then again I could be totally wrong.

I certainly have and I had to pay for it even when I was a running out of money in Feb whether I liked it or not. It did ensure that I turned up to them all. I also went to LEicester away and paid for Notts County away but gave my ticket to a mate as I was in Cuba. I have just over 4,400 points.

Looks to me like they have worked out that they have enough tickets for anyone with over 3000 points and everyone on the direct debit cup scheme.

Most people on the direct debit scheme will already have enough points (3000) to get a ticket. From a business point of view, great move by the club. It will result in more people signing up next year, so will increase ticket sales for all cup games. Whether we like it or not, it is a business and they need to increase attendance's for the cup games, some of which have been embarrasing this year (enough threads on here about them to prove that point).

The club should have announced this at the start of the season really so people could have made the choice to sign up then. IMO they have got it right, just maybe a bit too late. However having done it once they have really got to stick with it, and make the announcement now.

Yes I am on the direct debit scheme but have 5700 points so would have got one anyway. I would rather reward those that have turned up to a half empty stadium all season, than those who you hear being smug saying " I won't bother until the later stages, I am going to get a final ticket anyway". I do understand some people can not afford it or make it, and I do feel for you, but the club have got to try something so improve the poor attendances.

As Jrb was saying before. On the money.

totally unfair on the posters with lots of points, points that have been gained over years not one season.

no matter to us as we are in the scheme and have the points but i must say its a shit trick.

surely a ruse to get everyone on the scheme next season.

you implied i was stupid.... did you not ??? i can quote it for you if you like.

dont be hurt that it comes back honey.

Nothing at all arong with getting higher attendace, its great the club have tackled it. Is this the right way ? for the fan, no. For the cub, to right it is.

When next season the sign up shoots through the roof, then the only way you ever get a ticket fro a final is to be in the cup scheme.

then you have the scheme so lambasted by blues that is in place at united. what happens when 20,000 sign up next year ? then you really will have problems.

And its not fair, no matter how you dress it up, we are in effect forced onto the cup scheme.

At least other clubs admit to that point.

and that is why i question the intelligence of the posters who think this is a good idea.

so SWP you can see why, being the main advocate for this on the thread, i see you as foolish, or ignorant to the result of your actions.

The Goat is spot on.

The long and short of it is.

City want bigger cup attendences next season and more revenue, especially if we get in the CL.

And those season ticket holders that weren't in the cup scheme this season becuase they wrongly assumed they had enough loyalty points for a semi and/or final ticket, will either have to sign up or take the chance once again next season.

Like the Goat I've got over 5500 loyalty points, but I still decided to sign up for the cup scheme and attend the matches, even though I had the choice of not attending them.

Because he agrees with you. I could point to Matty and Gstar as I agree with them.

Shall we call it quits, no one is going to change their mind.
