Naturally I want us win the league no matter who our manager is.

But for the record, I still don't think Pellegrini is the right manager, IF we win the league this season, it will be solely down to the players hunger/desire to win it again DESPITE our rather inept manager.

Its started already. All our wins are down to the players and all our losses are down to the manager I suppose, makes sense.

Guardiola is a bad manager because his team started slowly twice against Real Madrid?

There's a lot out of the control of the manager when a game starts

He's made some really silly choices this season then again he's made some great tatical decisions so the jury is out for now. He is got 1 huge 1 to make regarding silva chance him or not?

The jury is still out on a manager that has won the league cup and is three wins away from winning us the league and giving us our best season in history?

The fact that a lot of the Pellegrini doubters have been quiet recently says it all for me

And if Silva is fit he will play, if he isn't he won't

There are some who are notable by their absence, I suspect that there will be a few who won't give him credit even if we win the league

Of course Pellers will get credit for winning the league. Any manager that wins the PL is fully deserving of credit. And if he doesn't he will get brickbats lobbed at him. Just as Pep who has won the League and reached the SF of the CL will get crucified and probably sacked for only winning the league and reaching the SF of the CL and Ancelotti will get the boot if he doesn't win the CL. Like it or not that is the level we operate in these days. I don't say its right but that is the reality.

At least Pellers hasn't got the freaking cabal MK II on his ass boring people to tears with various renditions of "We are doomed if we don't get this man out of our club" and the old favourite "Don't worry lads Jose will be arriving anytime soon"

Win the PL and Pellers will get nothing but kind words and fond looks from your Uncle Bob.

Well I have faith in this manager. It's his first season in the Prem. and the same for all of last season's new players. They have all had a lot to learn, so winning a trophy and Champ's league qualification for next year is not a bad result.
If we get to be Champions, too, then that's the cherry on the top, but it's a damn good cake regardless.

Roll on Pellegrini !

Guardiola is a wierd case. Arguably Pellegrini has pulled better performances from his players than Pep across his career. Now it's fairly obvious that keep the ball a lot and just wait for someone to do something remarkable is Pep's plan.

Pellegrini has had a good start, for sure.

9/10 if we win the league
7/10 if tactical errors or poor motivation cost us against Everton

... the margins are that slim for me.

One thing I will say though is that Sunday's performance was absolutely perfect. I'm not a fan of 4-4-2, but Last November Pellegrini made the slight change whereby Dzeko started dropping deep into midfield when we were defending which saw the beginning of our unbeaten run. A few more pragmatic performances like Palace away throughout the season and any argument over MP would have been long done and dusted imho.

Lose beautifully or win ugly?
Something changed on Sunday and hopefully its the realisation that a win is the most important thing, for me how we do it comes second. With the squad we have, we'll always get the chance to turn on the style but imho it should never be at the risk of losing. Style with pragmatism is the perfect balance and one shouldn't need to compromise the other if applied how we did on Sunday.

Fully agree with this. Many games this season have cried out for a player to sit and hold position in front of the back four, on sunday it looked like he has cottoned on. I think he has learnt that you will not walk over anyone away from home in the premier league unless you pay them some respect. Palace hardly had a sniff of a chance and hopefully we will do the same at Goodison.

It is vital that Javi Garcia starts , but you just never know with Pellegrini, he could easily start the disastrous Toure/Fernandinho midfield.

I really am enjoying watching Atletico tonight, as I have all season, I reckon City should be lining Simeone up for next season, of the one after.... His style is not too far from our own Manuel's ,

We should do well to learn from our skulky neighbours and put a decent succession plan in place... If we can!
