I don't agree with that. Pellegrini first of all must get the formation and tactics right, then he must squeeze everything out of these players, if he can't do that, then this job is not for him. If you think that players motivate themselves, you're mistaken.
You are mistaken: true champion atheletes are highly self-motivated.

What BobKowalski said.

I basically agree with Bob.

The summer window will tell alot. No doubt the overall quality of the squad needs to be improved. There have been effectively 3 players who have not contributed to this season at all and they can all be replaced and improved upon. That wouldn't be hard as it would only take a decent player to come in and actually be fit and trustworthy to play. Then the next step will be to see what top class players he can attract. A couple of top additions that can improve the 1st team are needed, but it remains to be seen who these players will be and if they will be at the adequate level. The average age also needs to come down, there is alot of players in their late twenties, so most of the buys will need to be youngsters or early 20s I would of thought.

He's made some really silly choices this season then again he's made some great tatical decisions so the jury is out for now. He is got 1 huge 1 to make regarding silva chance him or not?

The jury is still out on a manager that has won the league cup and is three wins away from winning us the league and giving us our best season in history?

The fact that a lot of the Pellegrini doubters have been quiet recently says it all for me

And if Silva is fit he will play, if he isn't he won't

They will be back should things go against us, it's really quite amusing!!!

There are some who are notable by their absence, I suspect that there will be a few who won't give him credit even if we win the league

I don't thing there should be any changes in the summer just think that next season is his big 1 and after that he can be judged proper evetyone makes mistakes its just learning by them pep has made a big 1 tonight lets see if he learns by his.

I'm sure he'll get the credit he deserves if we win the league. But if he doesn't win the league, he's going to get alot of inevitable criticism.

Next season is going to be very difficult, the season after a world cup is always difficult. It would be nice if we won the league this season, we could then get away with only winning the FA Cup next season.

He's done a fantastic job, granted a few mistakes, however, to be where we are with the injuries we've had, coupled with the vast improvement in Europe, he should be celebrated, yet he's still mocked by a small few!!!

I have doubted him, I own up. For me it has always rested on whether we win the league, never mind the margins. Just getting us over the line will be of huge credit to him. We now have it in our hands.

The big test is saturday. Will he get it right this time? Against Liverpool while we could have won the game in the end I thought the start was a shambles. Everton on paper is a much easier test. Lose and questions will obviously resurface.

Mourinho having managed in the EPL before has made mistakes.

Rodgers has made mistakes but is still having his best season as an EPL manager so far.

Wenger is Wenger and is still managing a ever under achieving Arsenal.

In short which of the current managers in charge of current top 4 placed team has made no mistakes? Put it perspective, Pellegrini is in his first season in the EPL he is set to win the league(if we avoid a cave in) and the league cup in his first season. This will be exactly the same achievement managed by Mourinho in his first season. I don't doubt the quality of Pellegrini at all and I am sure he will reflect on any mistakes for next season.

Naturally I want us win the league no matter who our manager is.

But for the record, I still don't think Pellegrini is the right manager, IF we win the league this season, it will be solely down to the players hunger/desire to win it again DESPITE our rather inept manager.
