He has made mistakes tbf but right now it´s out of his hands imo. All he really needs to do is exude calmness and a quiet belief and confidence. The players will have that sniff of 2012 all over again and now they know not just what´s required but how to handle it. I imagine they are wanting this very badly after one or two recent setbacks and the arrogance of some of our rivals.

The look on VK's face when he walked off Anfield told a story. I'm delighted for him and the players that another chance has turned up. Pellegrini is a master of calm! We have everything we need. Just hope the pegs fall into round holes.

You can see from his demeanour that he is hungry to win the league again. The players want to win everything whilst at the club - they want to win every competition they play in. Zabaleta, Kompany, Yaya, Silva, Nasri, Dzeko they will all be desperate to win the league and that hunger and desire to go and win it needs to show now. They have the professionalism and the patience, they just need to show they want it more and win these next three games. Each game as it comes but despite our Goodison record, I really believe that we are well placed to win this game and I think Everton will be resigned to the Europa League now and probably ready for the World Cup and a little bit influenced by the fact that they can help prevent their local rivals from winning the league.

Loved his reaction to Yaya's goal. Nice to see some "emotion" from him. Proper positive reaction that I'm not sure I've seen from him before.

That's your fault then because I've witnessed many previous episodes of 'emotion' from the boss.
While on a theme......and not aimed at you.....the amateur psychologists on this forum need to stick to their day jobs.
No worries mate and I've probably yet again not explained what I meant properly.

Absolutely right we read too much into this stuff :)

I've just felt when I've seen him celebrate a goal before it's been genuine enough, but there seemed to me to be something different about that Yaya one. I'll tell you what I mean better at the end of the season!

FFS I'm crap at this kind of thing :))

I have just heard a trail for BBCFiveLive...

"The Chosen One" Moyes

"The Special One" Mourinho

"The Surprising One" Rogers...

"The most exciting finish to the Premier League ever... follow it on 5Live".

Frankly I am delighted than the ignorant, lazy, poorly educated media idiots leave our man out of it because he goes about his business calmly with respect and intelligence.

I watch the press conferences where the attack dogs try to get him to supply them with sound bites that they can feed to their moronic readers but he refuses to offer up anything.

I love it...

Quality... like our owners, our club and most of our supporters.

It's Pellegrini's job to get the best out of the players. We know what these players are capable of , we know their potential, if they don't perform in these last three games, Pellegrini will have to take the blame.

Many of the players have been here before and so they have to take responsibility, Pellers can play his part but, with three games to play in a week or so, it surely has to be down to the team. That's all I'm saying. Over a season, yes, Pellers has to take his fair share of the blame/credit, but this is now down to the boots on the pitch. If MP needs to be motivating players now, then they should reconsider their careers. This could be a crowning moment for many of them. Their time is now.

I don't agree with that. Pellegrini first of all must get the formation and tactics right, then he must squeeze everything out of these players, if he can't do that, then this job is not for him. If you think that players motivate themselves, you're mistaken.
You are mistaken: true champion atheletes are highly self-motivated.

No matter what happens we've had a really good season, players seem happier, won a cup had a genuine title challenge, can Pelle turn a really good season into a fucking fantastic get it up ya cunts season?

I would agree that champion athletes are highly self motivated but the team still needs leadership and the motivation provided by good leadership. We saw on Sunday with Chelsea how a team of highly self motivated athletes can perform when they buy into the ethos and leadership provided by someone like Mourinho. That game was a classic example of how to play the occasion and come out successful which was in direct contrast to how we fared against the same team and same atmosphere. And we didn't have a 20 y/o making his debut at the back.

The issue for Pellers is that on 3 other occasions when we had a chance to take a firm grasp on the title we blew it. His record in the big games and the big moments is poor. He has to set the team up correctly for Everton. No getting it wrong like Chelsea at home in the PL and more like Chelsea at home in the FA Cup or even at Palace on Sunday where I thought we were excellent. The players have to believe that the preparation, tactics and set up are right for the game and if they do, like Chelsea did at Liverpool, it will reinforce their own self belief and we will win the remaining 3 games and the title.

I for one believe we will do it and be Champions. Again.

He's made some really silly choices this season then again he's made some great tatical decisions so the jury is out for now. He is got 1 huge 1 to make regarding silva chance him or not?

The jury is still out on a manager that has won the league cup and is three wins away from winning us the league and giving us our best season in history?

The fact that a lot of the Pellegrini doubters have been quiet recently says it all for me

And if Silva is fit he will play, if he isn't he won't
