Nice try Billy.
But the sad truth is that Pellegrini is looking more and more like a dud as each game passes.
I'd love to be wrong but I normally call it right months before the rest of you see the light. The really sad thing is that all it would take is a few adjustments to get us flying but Pellegrini just doesn't make them.
Actually it's me that normally calls this stuff well in advance,SWP,Aj and Joe Hart to name a few and I really think Pellegrini will get it right and make us a force.Like any other manager he needs a season at least !

As long as City finish in the top four again, I'll agree with you. Qualifying for the Champions League is crucial to our strategy. With today's news that QPR may be fined £60m for breaching FFP, missing out on this competition will be a disaster for us.

I thought at first this must be urine extraction, but then again perhaps not. Either way, I'm surprised you have the time to post on Blue Moon, what with all those Premier League club chairmen's phone calls and enquiries to answer 'n' all.......

He can't pick up the phone in time: too much petroleum jelly on his phone hand.

Reminds me of good old Peej in terms of his willingness to share his expertise with those less visionary than himself! Wonder what happened to him. Still can't get on the Hatter site to take a peek, due to server issues...... Will give you a buzz about Southampton nearer the time. Defo going though

Those rules are Football League rules and don't apply to us. Stupid that they all use the same name but there's UEFA's version, the Premier League's and the Football League's.

Is Jose at Chelsea looking more and more like a Dud? What about Moyes now he's winning a few games? AVB? Ancellotti?
We have a new manager with a new philosophy and new players. Why the f*** are we expected to hit the ground running while some of these 'household names aren't?

Great minds;-) Looks like that site is dead. BMR is on Bluemoon.

I'm aware of that, but the Football League have set a precedent by introducing it and there's no disguising the fact that the rag brigade at the top of the EPL want to bring it in at our level too. Being in the C/L is crucial to our Board's strategy, and for that reason a change of management with all the potential for upheaval is a risk no matter who the Manager happens to be. Just pray we have the man to get us into that competition again.

goddammit

I mean, we've all had these kinds of thoughts, but actually posting it....

ok, time to get it off my chest. I knew the outcome of the barm muffin thread about three months before consensus was reached. I knew Mancini would be leaving at some point, from the moment he joined the club. I also can guess the outcome of our games with almost a 33% rate of accuracy. I am the way, the truth, and the light. At least until Tuesday. Whatsoever thou does to the least of the Dzeko fanboys, thou doest unto me.

It would be too late to bring in any rule changes that would hurt us. Tom Glick has already declared that at the end of this financial year we will be in the top five football club revenues in the world. Plus I doubt they'd be able to get it through. They just barely scrapped the current rules through. Relax, we've made it. City are now part of the elite. Top five in the world by the end of this year! Take it in. Ingest it. Enjoy it. However, yes, I think top four will not represent any kind of a problem. Top two was my expectation before the season, and it still is, the fact that Chelsea haven't run away with it at this point is actually pretty damned encouraging. We can win this title. Actually, we SHOULD win this title.

A dud? We're playing an exciting form of goal scoring football, have progressed in the Champions League (something continually beyond Mancini), are looking good at home as usual and have some great new players in the side. I think he's been unlucky with defensive injuries and when he's got the players he wants then we'll tighten up what has been the only step backwards.

He's a far warmer presence at City that'll bring everyone together. 8/10 from me.
