That's BS. We are playing for the title not for the top half. If you play for the title there are only a certain number of defeats you can afford and if we lose away at Cardiff what will happen when we're playing away at Old Trafford or at Chelsea. Why are the players allowed to be blamed but not the manager?

Champions don't drop points in these fixtures. They might go behind but they come back and quality sticks out its boot. We never seem to display the quality in the team when it's time to be counted.

Let me ask you an altered version of your own question.

If Alex Ferguson had a record of W1:L1 last season, would this thread appear on RedCafe?

The answer to that question is the same reason that this thread is bizarre and a bit daft

Difference is though pal that the rags lost at Everton..not to a fucking team who had one shot-goal,and 2 set piece goals. I think if they were on the end of this result they would feel the same pal.
Pellegrini needs to learn fast however I hope this doesn't turn into a Mancini v Pellegrini thread.
We need to demolish Hull next Saturday..

I like him, but suspect he has a lot to learn sadly (as almost any new manager would).

Which, and this has been consistently my opinion, is why we didn't need a new manager.

It will turn out alright in the end with him I think, just depends when that 'end' is.

Ferguson never lost away at a promoted side. But yes I agree that it's still early and he needs some more time. But it doesn't mean that he shouldn't be discussed. Hopefully he learns and we get back on track.

Not knocking pellers at all but I could have told him 2 yrs ago that yaya is not a defensive midfielder and never should be used as one in the prem league....

The balance in midfield is key and the only way it will work with him and fernandinho in there is if fernandinho plays the holding role and is disciplined in doing so.

Plus....never ever play Garcia....the guy is useless

And Chelsea won the title.

We need to give him at least 10 games. After that objective and reasoned discussion can be had. Not before.
It was the players who let us down (again) today and not the manager. Just like Wembley (and Norwich).
Give the man time.
