Very nice old man, but not a winner, too many basic basic mistakes. We would have lost the League Cup final was it not for two wonder strikes turning the game on its head, it wasn't anything tactical from the engineer.

Why drop Dzeko for two strikers out of sorts, Negredo is obviously lacking confidence and Aguero isn't fit and is way off the pace ?

The champions league maths cock up

At 2-2 at Anfield close the game out and take the point, it was all we needed. But no lets open up the game.

Losing leads at Cardiff and Villa, very poor

Got tactics wrong against both Barca and Bayern at home.

Wigan in the cup was a disgrace

So we have won some high scoring games and it was exciting but counts for little now, so we beat West Ham 9-0 over two legs in a semi.

We need a manager who has Manuels people skills and who the players want to play for but also a manager who actually understands the fucking game with a strong winning mentality.

He is a very nice loser , says nice things, never slates the ref, never slates opposition, shakes everyone's hand.

I don't want Mr Fucking Nice, I want Mr Fucking Winner managing my team

At the time, West Ham had an injury crisis. lol We had an easy ride in the League cup btw, all the games were against lower teams.

-- Wed Apr 16, 2014 10:05 pm --

For an attacking manager he hardly threw the kitchen sink at them did he?!

Shocking. Bottled another crucial game. Our reactions to losing games to our title rivals against relegation candidates have cost us 4 points in just the last 2.

Oh but Aguero was not fit, oh but Negredo was lacking confidence .. so why the feck was they on the pitch !?

Get him out ! Get Pellegrini out ! I've had enough of him !

Poor league season last year under Mancini and a poor league campaign this year under Pellegrini. Don't know about anyone else but I'm wondering if some of those players have got the balls for it.

And wtf was that about, taking Ferny off and leaving Garcia on? I know Fern was knackered but fuck me Garcia never moved from in front of the back 4. Complete waste when chasing a game.

Garcia was our best player on the pitch which unfortunately tells it's own story

I didn't say he had a bad game, just not needed at end of game as it was shit or bust.

I was just saying i thought he was our best player, i agree, when we were chasing the game he's not the best to have on the pitch.

I'm not defending him or blowing his trumpet, i'm genuinely interested to hear who you want as our boss?

If you're that pissed off and angry that you don't want to talk seriously about it we can talk some other time, it's not a problem
Managers don't have to be without a club or "available" to be considered a possible candidate, you seemed to purposely and oddly limit the alternatives for whatever reason.

You're indeed correct, give me a name then?
Well given what the club see as desirable traits, any suggestion I could fathom such as;

Hiddink
Ancelotti
Even the likes of Van Gaal or Klopp
Not even mentioning that evil Italian who doesn't say good morning

..Would be pointless.

The question ought to be, "..what other semi-entertaining nearly men who won't raise their voice are out there as a replacement?"

Pellegrini has no plan B; this "we'll play one way and it's up to the other team to stop" bollocks is just that, that doesn't work. You have to accommodate for the opposition but he's too stubborn.

Never mind him sitting on his hands or standing arms folded as quiet as a church mouse when it's not working, wouldn't want to get a reaction out of some players would we.. Everyone watching could see from 10 minutes on the players couldn't give a flying fuck, I'd like to see the manager, who's paid to motivate them, to do so actual motivating. I imagine the half time team talk was akin to a little girls tea party.

As much as some are determined to believe that others have never been behind the current manager, they choose not to see the obvious due to the fear of the hit their own ego would take.

Pellegrini couldn't motivate the players after a bad loss? That's on him.

In our title winning season;

When we lost at Stamford bridge we went on and beat Arsenal the next week.

When we lost in the last minute to Sunderland that season we went on to beat Liverpool the next game

When we lost that game to Swansea we beat Chelsea next time up and of course after that Arsenal defeat...

We've been lackluster for longer than we were entertaining, the manager takes his portion of the blame. He's openly said he's underestimated teams, that's not good enough at this level, as Mancini found out and it was evident tonight.

"Before the match I was worried about this game. Playing against a team fighting relegation is very difficult and we had only four days to get over the Liverpool game."

Fucking choker!

Sounds like something Wenger would say

And still those wankers Shears & Dismal will find excuses.
Pellegrini is fucking clueless.
Get rid & plan for next season.

Our failure to win the league this season will be nothing to do with the manager. It will all be down to the players.

Unlike last season when our failure to win the league was nothing to do with the players. It was all down to the manager.

Is exactly the response we'll get.

Haha very true, at least they are happy

As expected, knee jerk foamers by the bucketload.
Ya Ya injured, Silva injured, Navas injured, Aguero barely half fit, a struggle was inevitable before a ball had even been kicked tonight. But of course it's all Pellegrini's fault, cos he spent £100m on a miracle squad. So that's Negredo to replace Tevez, Jovetic, who's been injured all season, to replace Balotelli, and Ferna to replace Gaz Baz, which pretty much leaves Navas as the lone upgrade. Oh, and we've lost Kompany for 10 weeks, Jovetic for 20+ Weeks, Silva for 8 weeks, Aguero for 12 weeks, Nastasic for 16 weeks+, and Nasri for 6 weeks, and yet somehow this clueless clown has us on course to finish 3 or 4 points better off than we did last year in a far more competitive league. Bring back Bobby from Real Madrid, quick......oh, wait, hang on a mo.....
I'm not gonna pretend a turd's a diamond, cos that was a truly minging performance tonight, the lack of pace and urgency that plagued us last season every bit as visible now as it was last season. However, it's interesting to note that those squealing loudest about the manager not having a clue, are the same ones who routinely barrack him for picking Navas over Milner (the latter was truly truly shit tonight), and who are only just waking up to the realisation that DiMichelis does indeed suit our high defensive line better than Lescott after all. Losing the league tonight in that gutless fashion was painful, but I for one will judge Pellegrini once he's got the players he wanted in January - a top centre half, and an athletic midfield powerhouse (to which I'd add a wide midfielder with the pace and power to get past the fullback - and not cross the ball gormlessly into the legs of a defender standing 3 feet away from him, or chip it hopelessly out of play, all night long). If he tanks once he's got a squad to suit his MO then fair do's, bin him off. Until then though, stop throwing your toys out of your prams, eh?

No, I'm sick to the back teeth with you apologists.
The dippers were without Suarez for their first six games, yet have contested throughout.
Maybe that's because they play as a team, and have sufficient motivation and desire to win that extends beyond their ludicrous pay packets, and a manager who can get the best out of the resources available, even when a key player is absent.
I'm fed up of hearing 'wait 'til January', or BillyShite and his 'give him three more years'.
He has had a better squad at his disposal than Mancini had, and has singularly underachieved.
I don't want another season of seeing him spunking money up the wall for zero return.
He simply isn't up to the job, and the sooner he is gone the better.

And why is the mental state of the players like that ? Is it because the manager hasn't given them the right mentality ?

Players emulate their manager. Our manager is dull. Our players play in a dull way. Our manager shows no passion, our players show no passion. Simple as that.

Sorry, but some of these comments are hilarious. We've won against the scum 4:1, 6:0 against Spurs, 6:3 against Arsenal this season. A bad team performance tonight, that's all, Simple as that.

Take away the shanked Kompany clearance at Anfield and we'd probably have been writing tonight about what a good season's it's been. One (admittedly) awful result and objectivity goes totally out the window.

Sorry, mate. Shk. Mansoor didn't pump millions into the club so we can see average performance. We were playing bottom team at home! In such critical time, you'd expect the manager to be more focused no join the players in complacency.
Kompany's howler at liverpool was due to injury, why does pelle insist on hardcore training session hours before such a big game against liverpool. Pelle is NOT a winner, we don't want second or third place and if we do, we certainly don't want it this way, a draw at home to team with that is half injured.

right and thats what make me angry the man spend millions no club can expect that and the end you find some donkey players who will talk to you about motivation ! you are professional not an amateur !

add to that the FFP city need terribly to do well to win to try to maximize revenues and grow the brand
