On a one year contract Rafa would be perfect.

Come in, drill the defense, send us on a good European run (we actually WOULD have a chance vs the elite with him in charge), basically prep` the ground for another tilt at Pep the following year - unless of course Rafa did so well that we no longer wanted Pep.

For all his critics the football his sides play isn't thatbad, could anyone actually say the likes of Gerrard/Alonso/Garcia/Torres were never fun to watch when playing for Liverpool?

Independent: City have no desire to sack Pellegrini but missing top 4 would force a decision. City "determined" to get Guardiola in future.

We need top sack off this Pep obsession, who is to say he won't take a year off next summer like a few reports have hinted at.

It's well known he wants to manage so called established big name clubs so why will he pick us, Txiki might be out of a job soon as well.

Because they already have an agreement with him. Was known at the time pellegrini come in and it's fairly obvious now what's going on really.

What? I have a postage stamp here Ray I think that is big enough for you to write your knowledge of footy on rather than a forum. Sport is about winning that's why people play and why people go to watch.

Grow up.

In all seriousness don't you want a team and manager prepared to win at any cost? If not why follow a team?

I don't want to see a side that dives, time wastes, surrounds the referee hack, slash and whinge to victory. I do like attacking football.

The nearest he will get to the City hot seat is waiting on tables in La Tasca on Deansgate.

Don't worry, we have been assured on here that the board can do no wrong.

Winning is obviously nice, but not really the sole reason for supporting a team.

Ever want your team to lose or play yourself to lose? As a supporter or player you want to win every game no matter what. Whether you do or not is another matter but your mentality is to always want to win.

He couldn't get Napoli past the opening CL knockout round and it was deemed massive failure, he also failed top progress them out of the group last season.

At Inter he was atrocious in Europe and he only won the EL with Chelsea because they had the most well equipped team in the competition, should never have been in the tournament in the first place because how they failed to get out of the CL group was a mystery considering the talent they had, plus the team was Champions League winners going into that tournament.

Rafa was great ten years ago, not anymore.

My 1st choice would be Klopp .
He plays fast attractive football .
and is 6 points above the trap door with some hard games to come
Dortmund won't go down .
Plus they have had a lot injuries this season .

he's a good manager but i dont think he would hit the ground running, he's the kind of guy you need to give a 5/6 year deal to, do we have time for that, i dont think we have it would put us in total transition while he finds his feet
