Pellegrini was brought in to take our team to the next level....to make us an elite team alongside the best in Europe. Two and a half years and a lot of pounds later it is very clear that the team are actually even further away from achieving this target. The way this team is playing....Aston Villa, Stoke, Liverpool, Tottenham etc. is totally unacceptable. There seems to be no cohesion in the team.....it's like they are strangers and it makes you wonder what they are working on in training. I would love to be able to say that we are now a top team but my confidence levels are decreasing week by week. The only game recently where I genuinely felt that my team had played really well was Seville away. I could overlook the mournful face and uninspiring personality if he had turned us into a top European team but, unbelievably, I now feel that we could even get battered by a mid table Premier League team....which saddens me greatly to have to say.
Pellegrini, in my view, has no idea how to and has failed miserably in making City into a great team....PSG, for example, have done so much better with their resources.
It is time for him to go. But we will most probably have to wait until the end of the season for Guardiola....if all the rumours are true. Such is my disappointment in Pellegrini that I might even get someone in now till the end of the season...although that would obviously be a very difficult proposition.
