You're not alone, its a pathetic comment. I've only ever backed Manchester City Football Club.

Goes out the window when people get ridiculed for having an opinion

I've seen it written in quite a few threads these last couple of weeks, 'don't throw the baby out with the bath water'

What if the actual bath needed replacing?

And who the hell takes baths? Dirty pastime, anyhow, lying there in cold water, dead skin cells.

This club has needed a state-of-the-art glitzy wet room since FFP came to the fore.

The baby grew up after our first title win.

Whatever the fate of Pellegrini, it needs to be decisive and with real purpose towards the next couple of years.

What on earth are you going on about?

It means we are signing Rooney

Re: Discussion: Potential Pellegrini Replacements

I think Pellegrini will see out his contract, our options aren't great. There's no way Klopp and Pep leave, I've heard that Simeone will either stay at Atletico or take time off similar to Pep. Ancelotti will possibly be fired as I can see Barca winning La Liga and either Bayern or Barca winning the UCL too.

I'm just unclear as to what Soriano and Txiki want our first team to eventually be like, I've seen a 433 formation being branded about and the 'attacking football' we supposedly strive to play now. Regardless this squad needs big changes, we've lagged behind our rivals in buying quality starting players, Aguero being the last statement signing in 2011.

I personally think Pellegrini should go in the summer, massive regression in all competitions and inconsistency all year long. Though he shouldn't take all the blame, many of our players have played poorly and it's not just been down to the tactics that is debated regularly.

So, Chelsea come in with a one hundred million pound offer for Kompany, Silva and Aguero. We selling? That's not throwing the baby out with the bath water, it's keeping the bath water and ditching the baby. Very easy for people to play to the cheap seats and demand we sell the 'wanker players' who 'aren't putting a shift in'. In reality, anyone with half a footballing brain knows that as soon as these players are operating in a system that suits them under a manager who knows how to get the best out of them, we will be watching them return to their brilliant best and feeling like a right bunch of dopey pillocks. Talking tough on a football Forum is fine, but lets have a touch of realism in the discussion please.

You mean like when Barca sold Eto'o, Ronaldinho, Deco, etc. Team cycles and and players move on. Again not advocating the sale of the players you've mentioned just giving an example of a top club moving big players out.

Re: Discussion: Potential Pellegrini Replacements

No matter if it's the players not performing or pellegrinis squad selections. The manager always gets the short straw. Unfortunately, I can see pellegrini going. Benitez, Klopp & Ancelotti are potential replacements, all either under fire or out of contract in june. If we want get a team strong enough to compete in the last 8 of the CL then we need a manager with a half decent CV and CL experience.

To be fair only Eto'o still had a career in front of him. Ronnie was partying too hard. Throw in the fact that Messi took opver his mantel and Iniesta was ready to improve on Deco, definitely not the same as us selling Kompany, Kun and Silva.

Re: Discussion: Potential Pellegrini Replacements

Rony Lopes speaks highly of Vieira which is promising for him. His players both like and trust him. Not sure he's there tactically to be honest.
