@richaskam: Info from v well connected source in Italy suggests Carlo Ancelotti is making preparations for possible approach from City #mcfc

How do you "make preparations" for "a possible approach"?

Like checking his fax machine has paper in it and that?

He is probably practising the Poznan.

Ole in Argentina also linking Sabella to City apparently.

It must be true then
Not at all. In fact Canchallena (another and properly footbal site in Argentina) are a better and reliable source than Ole (Clarin). Is like The Guardian v/s Daily Mail (Olé Clarin) .

What a ringing endorsement that is.

The board either strongly back Pellers or they sack him. Leaving him twisting in the wind for his final year while they hang around for Pep is just another year wasted.

The inference that F&T prefer Pellers to remain whilst Abu Dhabi would prefer Ancelotti is reminiscent of Hughes in the summer of '09 with Cook arguing Hughes be left in place and ADUG wanting him gone. Khaldoon admitted later that not sacking Hughes in the summer was a mistake and one I assume they would be wary of repeating. In any event if the manager has lost the backing of the owners then its only going to end one way. That said if F&T want to make a case for Pellers I would suggest that all three thrash out why its gone wrong this season and take steps to sort it and quick. A strong and positive end to the season means we all win.

The other factor is if you are employing F&T to run the show then you let them run it. If you don't trust their judgement then why are you employing them in the first place?

there is only one who suits our team the best and its frank the boer i think.
guardiola would be perfect but he stays at munich...maybe in the future...the sucessor of de boer..
frank de boer is a little tactical genius like pep. their tactics are almost the same or follow the same direction. play play play and play with as much as possible midfielders to dominate the game and keep the opposition of the ball. And immediately after they get the ball high aggressive pressing all overr the pitch. so this is the barca/ajax principle and this it the aim of txiki and soriano so he would fit pertfectly. 4-3-3 is also the system they want to play from youth up to senior team. Moreover he is a active managers who reacts on game situations and he understands what he is doing! first game vs psv this season he plays a lot midfielders to dominate but psv is too good so he switches his preferred tactic the secong leg against them to win at eindhoven 3:1 with counter attacking...so he switches hus tactis to the oppositon!and he raises his voice at the game not as pellegrinin who stays calm all the time...we need a bit more passion at least our players need it!

klopp also good manager but he is only high aggressive counter pressing...so not the game we want to go for the future. we want to dominate!

ancelotti good managers but he will stay and i don't like him that much...i can't imagine seeing him at the line for us.

diego simeone: as klopp high aggressive pressing and give the ball the opposition..let them make the game and then counter! is not our style we are and txiki looking for ..we want to be a europe force that dominates like barca and munich and i think thats the most attractive way i like it the mosz to see my team in possision all the time..would become furious if the others play with the ball...like diegk simeone and klopp tactics.

rodgers: he will stay...although he also plays the 4-3-3

Koeman: 4-3-3 but i think de boer is a bit better and i like him more. he fits better on the line for us than koeman

Benitez: oh no please! don't get him! dont like him...the worst case if he is appointed. no real tactic knowledge for me and noo! he doesnt fit!

So sign frank de boer please and in future pep may want to come to us when frank installed the game pep alsi wants to play! would be perfect!

Re: Discussion: Potential Pellegrini Replacements

Seems Pellegrini will almost certainly be manager again next season and is going to get serious backing from the board with regards transfers in the summer. You can't really fault Khaldoun, Soriano, and Txiki, if that's the decision they've made. It's the right call under the circumstances and with the lack of obvious suitable replacements.

I still don't think Guardiola will come to City in the summer of 2016 but it at least gives the club and the board a year to decide on who they want to succeed the gaffer.

It appears so.

My concern is.....will we be playing those alleged incomings in the Champs league? because, given some of his recent team selections, and subsequent performances, finishing 5th is a real possibility.

I don't think he has the solution,i hope i'm badly wrong.

Nah the only team capable of catching us is Arsenal now. Our run in is favourable.

Be interesting to see what Pellegrini does with a bunch of new younger players. I think he can and will improve on this season.

We'd better keep Pellegrini because T&F are too worried Ancelotti might come in and win some things playing effective football and people might decide we don't need their mate Pep (who at this rate we'll have spent longer waiting for than he'll even manage us if he even did).

Telegraph: City could move for Ancelotti. Spanish chiefs not keen as he clashes with their Barca-style blueprint, but support in Abu Dhabi.

Sticking with a manager simply because we can find no one else? Yikes. The players have quit. This club is in big trouble if we can't even find or attract a replacement.

Thats the truth of it though fella, Manuel would be filling his cardboard box with his desk trinkets by now if Pep was available for next season.

Lets see what Manuel does with £150 million pounds worth of signings that know he's more than likely entering his last season managing City.

Re: Discussion: Potential Pellegrini Replacements

Heavily rumoured that Ancelotti will leave Real Madrid at the end of the season.

He'd make a great improvement IMO.

Any of Ancelotti, Simeone or Klopp would be brilliant.
