Bollocks.......what the fuck has Ancelotti ever won?

Manager

Milan
UEFA Champions League: 2002–03, 2006–07
Serie A: 2003–04
Coppa Italia: 2002–03

Chelsea
Premier League: 2009–10
FA Cup: 2009–10

Paris Saint-Germain
Ligue 1: 2012–13

Real Madrid
UEFA Champions League: 2013–14
Copa del Rey: 2013–14
When you remove the nonsense trophies that you only enter for winning other trophies, it's not a whole lot for a manager who's been at top teams for the past 15 years. His champions league record is the best around though, but other than that he has 3 league titles (including a cake walk with PSG) and 3 domestic cups in 15 years. Not a great return

Compared to Pellegrini before he came to us? You can decide which ones are nonsense here:

Universidad Católica
Copa Chile (1): 1995
Copa Interamericana (1): 1993

LDU Quito
Serie A (1): 1999

San Lorenzo
Primera División (1): 2000–01
Copa Mercosur (1): 2001

River Plate
Primera División (1): 2002–03

Villarreal
UEFA Intertoto Cup (1): 2004

But Pellegrini reputation wasn't built on winning things, or having top teams. If it was, then you'd say it was a pretty poor record, but give that his track record was based on over achieving with mid level teams, it's not really compareable. Ancelloti has always been at clubs that were aiming for leagues and cups every year

But we are one of those clubs now :)

I don't disagree that he could have done much better domestically at Milan but he seems to have done pretty well when a club had a team set up and the money to buy good players. Winning the CL twice with AC milan against the likes of Real Madrid, Barca and Mancini's Inter is still no small task.

Re: Ancelotti to City??

Imagine a first 11 that included Cafu, Maldini, Nesta, Pirlo, Seedorf, Kaka, Inzaghi and Shevchenko only winning 1 league title in 5 year , granted Kaka wasn't there in 2002 but Rui Costa was hardly a bag of fucking wank.

It always enraged me that a **** like Gattuso always got picked over Ambrosini.

To be fair I'd take him over Pellers.

Re: Ancelotti to City??

City want Pep.

Pep wont be available for 18 months +

Sacking Pellegrini would mean any decent manager wants a 3 year deal.

Would City risk lots of cash and the chance of missing out on Pep by sacking Pellegrini? No I dont think so.

Also a lot of people whom I trust have been told by the club the Pellegrini isn't getting sacked - I know they havent been 100% truthful in the past but the Pellegrini info was cascaded trough the favoured channels very recently.

He is not getting sacked ?......that means

4-4-2 in Europe next season whether it is Champs League or Europa....60 minute subsitutions and shit defending .....

We are not sacking him as we want Pep so we keep him for next season and he wins the treble ...do we still want Pep ?

I suggest you go support Real Madrid.

Re: Ancelotti to City??

Who is to say Pep won't have another year off? He likes to recharge his batteries. Meaning he'd be unavailable until the 2017/18 season, which is 2 (and a bit) seasons away. And 2 years is a normal cycle now in football for a coach. Ancelotti could sign a 2 year deal if he joined, although personally am tired of this waiting for Pep thing, if it's actually a thing at City. Pep is my #1 choice for the job but if he won't give us an answer we shouldn't cling on to the idea too much, because he could just as easily join United or Arsenal when we 'expect' him to join us.

Re: Ancelotti to City??

Please please please City just do everything it takes to get Ancelotti.

I don't care if we have to play dirty to do it just get it fucking done.
