But the club also told the employees they would receive free tickets and have gone back on it so why should they be believed when they say the employees will be financially compensated.

And as for all these rags working for the club who get tickets and sell them on, it is now entering the York away urban myth scenario

If they are to be compensated financially then they can spend that on the half price season tickets they are entitled to. So they are exactly where they were originally. However this way the tickets actually get sold which in turn contributes to our revenue for FFP purposes. However small this may be it all helps.

Any employee who didn't really want a ST now gets extra cash to spend how they wish.

Doesn't sound too bad when it gets explained like that does it?

Exactly, do we know if the employee is a blue ?

Are you really naive enough to believe a football club's statement on anything? Votes of confidence in managers etc

They are being financially compensated in other ways and that is straight from the horses mouth.
Which horse is that then?

Maybe I am being naive, however I wouldn't compare votes of confidence on managers to statements on whether the tea lady gets one or two ST's.

But the club have said they will be compensated in other ways

From the club statement on the issue.

"In order to fund enhancements of existing staff benefits or introduce wider, more flexible benefits it may be necessary to amend the way in which staff access season cards. In addition to financial compensation, staff would also have the opportunity to purchase season tickets at a discounted rate."

Seems like no-one is going to lose anything. I suppose if not every member of staff wants to receive ST's then they now have the choice.
