I must have missed this article? Can anyone tell me what they said? Haven't a clue what all the rambling on this thread is about

Basically the article repeated what was in a National with an opinion that Pellegrini would prefer Foreign players and English players at the club would be taking a back seat.

The main agenda being that City are now ruining English Football.

Thanks. Think I saw that on the mail's site, chose to ignore it amongst all the other recent negative stories.

Sounds bitter

Does a little bit doesn't it?

Now I'm not suggesting the MEN turns in to the equivilant of Pravda, but perhaps if the MEN "supported" the club with some positive articles, optimistic pieces, feel good stories or basically anything which demonstrated they were actually behind the club, then the club may recipricate when releasing news. At least the fans (the readership) would appreciate it.
They do. You compare it to the national media. Huge difference

To be fair, you would expect your local paper to be pro the local clubs as by definition it's reaching out to it's fans. The national press don't give a shit about that as they're pandering to an entirely different audience.

It's only my opinion, but I don't think the MEN supports City enough.

Years ago (many years ago) my old man used to laugh at how the MEN was too optimistic regarding City. You couldn't really say that now and I know which I'd prefer.

They, the MEN reported yesterday that our "new manager to be" would not tolerate English Players" basically because they were NOT good enough.
However, the bottom line is that this original article appeared in the "Mail on Sunday".All the MEN did was report in their weekly news item under the heading "Gossip Column" and guess what ???????????????????????????? The fucking arse fell out of the OP who didn`t understand where the original article came from and what the context actually meant.
Some numpties to a penny, but at least SB from the MEN,once again had the balls to try and explain the problems and how it had occurred and the reasoning behind the so called article.
So,some fuckers got their knickers in a twist, over fuck all.No change there then !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The article only carried the word 'Gossip' about 3hrs after it first appeared on line on the MUEN site............. before then the word 'Gossip' was not there!

Tin hat on. I quite enjoy reading Stuart's pieces on City. I don't see why it's such a crime to be opinionated tbh. You either don't like something or you do.
His articles are not the issue - it is everything else that goes in the paper - especially if they let the paperboy have access read / write access to the web site and the editor approves it

Whether it carried the word 'gossip' or not, fact is the local newspaper should support it's local teams, not delight in posting negative shite at every opportunity!

Your defence of the MEN and not for the first time can only be described as rabid.
Perhaps you should ask yourself would the same journo who originally posted the article would have hastily posted a similar article about the rags.

Why put an apology in the MEN? He was commenting and should be commended on it for being honest. It is not the first time SB has been on here

I'd be more interested in wondering... why post the apology on a fan forum, when you admit to fucking up in the actual press? Apologizing to a relatively small audience in a forum is the easy, ineffective attempt at solving the problem.

The professional solution would be to remove the article, post the proper information (which in this case would be a rebuttal of the Daily Mail hack job) and an apology - or at least an acknowledgment of wrong-doing.

Perhaps Mr. Brennan could put the issue of the "MUEN" moniker to bed, by posting a few instances of his employer reporting slanderous, or patently false and damagingly misleading information about Manchester United. I'd love to see actual evidence from a news outlet.

That's not his job though. Its the job of our own media department.
