Absolutley and nor could I , but I'm getting fooked off being told that City are single handedly ruining the prospects of English football, if the case has truth, then why not every other top side.. and btw, before we get back to Mogerson, let's not forget that gollum was happy enough to fill his side with belgians and scots, dipperpool are hardly awash with engish talent, scum have no more english squad players atm than city and chelski and the arse = the united nations...

why the fook pick on City, and, even more bone-headedl, claim to know Pellers' policy on the issue before he has even arrived in post

mischief-making and inconsistency of the lowest order

Laughable cr@p

Well write to the Mail on Sunday was it who lead with this story. We all know its shit, but if you read the article more clearly the author has a point. There are too many average English players within our squad, some who we need to shift as we need to reach that next level,so we can compete with far more conviction in the CL next season.
Lets be totally honest, apart from Hart and hopefully Rodwell, could we find better players to cover the likes of Milner,Lescott,Barry,Richards and Sinclair ?
You have to say yes as all of those players were basically "bench warmers" under Mancini, but we don`t know yet who Pelle wants, but no doubt he`ll have been well briefed by the ex Barca lads.Based on who they`ve given us so far this window, excellent replacements already you would like to think and if we are to believe who else may be on their way to us,well who knows ??.
We know full well we need to keep "x" amount of English/Home grown lads for obvious reasons. No way will anyone let all those English lads move in one foul swoop, but I just don`t see too many of those five being in our starting eleven.

So are you saying that City have these players just to fulfill the quota?
Barry Milner Richards Lescott Hart and Rodwell are all England internationals...so we are hardly blocking their progress..Hart is a regular for England, Rodwell looks like an up and coming force who is no getting international attention again,Milner has had loads of game time, as has Barry; bothe have contributed , including goals; Lescott perhaps not so much Richards has been injured....

MCFC have hardly had a 'keep the saxons as a token' policy.. track the number of England appearances by City players since the turnover and they match most other top 4 clubs...
If those players did not grasp those opportunities, than that is hardly MCFC's fault

(Incidentally.. it would be interesting to track how many rag England players suddenly developed short-term injuries before international matches...)

I think we`ll need to now, most definately. As I said before the list of five,IMO will not be the crux of any starting eleven has they had previously.By the way I`m not certain if you think I don`t like these players,as I certainly do.Unfortunately the life expectancy of said five will diminish even more and I expect to see some coming into PL games, prior to any CL games.
These players have earned their names in folklore for what they`ve given us.Unfortunately time don`t standstill for no-one.

Like I said before I think city welcome the negative press, everyday we are mentioned in a negative light, never has a side been more consistently mentioned by the press in every angle of football espionage. I think city are working on the theory that is better to be talk about than never mentioned. The only people who believe what these phone hackers print are the ones that want to believe it. Anyone with half a brain cell can see through their bias? Our owners don't like confrontation by their custom of life and the last thing they would hate to see is public slanging match of the nature of our last two managers. A thick skin and a stiff finger is needed by our fans, the hacks in this country are the lower than a rattlesnakes belly so why care?

You make some valid points..

I guess that the issue still bugging me is tha way that the press have singled US out when the playing and buying policies of most of the top English clubs have been similar.. particularly in Chelski's case

M.E.N.

Men saying that probably the only English player who will be a regular under pellegrini is joe hart and that Milner,Barry, lescott,Richards and rodwell will miss out but maybe one or two will be used as back up players.
Surely this is bullshit-how do they know -for fucks sake he's not even been named manager yet.
If true,I don't know about anyone else but I'd be a bit upset about this.
I don't know whether I'm right or wrong but I seem to remember some ruling that is either in place or a ruling that is being worked towards where we have to field a number of English /home grown players.

Had this been on the earlier thread I probably wouldn`t have bothered, but as you may know I do stand up for the MEN,but in this instance all they were doing was putting a very short piece together in their "Gossip Column" which comes from what other tabloids and media outlets are saying about us.
We do seem to get the fucking short straw with negative spins, but we`d best get used to it,especially when we piss one and all off with our transfers, our PPR progression and of course our Academy and not forgetting our second club NYCFC !!
Don`t let the bastards grind us down !! Fuck `em all mate.
