Disgraceful Journalism again by MUEN

Pellegrini bad news for City's English players!
He's not even here yet let alone left English players out of his team.
No author to the MUEN article but it is virtually word for word to that of Joe Bernstein in todys Fail on Sunday.
How low can this so called newspaper stoop.

The only thing I can't decide is what's more concerning.. That we won't have a spine of English players, or that there aren't any we could buy instead of our purported targets either anywhere near as good or anywhere near as cheap. If there's a chronic shortage of world class English footballers don't be surprised when the world class teams don't have any in them.

That aside, did we hear much about Chelsea's first choice 11 last season? What was it, two Englishmen?

I think the performance of England U21's answers all the questions! That's why we go foreign!

Lets be totally honest, apart from Hart and hopefully Rodwell, could we find better players to cover the likes of Milner,Lescott,Barry,Richards and Sinclair ?
You have to say yes as all of those players were basically "bench warmers" under Mancini.

Were they?

Well lets have a look. All games this season = 52.
Milner. Starts = 25 = 48%
Lescott " = 23 = 44%
Barry " = 37 = 71%
Surely I don`t have to prove Sinclair ???? ;)
Richards, too many injuries, but I think Bobby would not have used him on a regular basis ahead of Zabs.
OK I hold my hand up ref Barry but the overall picture shows that our previous manager didn`t fully rate Milner or Lescott, but they were certainly good enough as "stand ins".
So IMO I honestly think that all 5 will find it difficult to get in the majority of the starting eleven, based on who else we additionally add to the squad. But I would bet any players we bring in,will be to the detrimental of these players.

They may well, but different players are needed in certain games. I thought Milner was used very well by Mancini, and I doubt Pellegrini will use any of our english players that differently. Assuming we keep Barry, he will play a good part, as will Milner. Hart is first choice and that won't change, Richards will hopefully be/stay fit, so will definitely be used regurlarly, ditto Rodwell.

I'd keep Lescott, but that may be down to his choice as wanting first team football. As for Sinclair, I'd keep him and see what he can do when and if fit, he's not as bad as some make out.

I think the majority have misunderstood, this is definitely a positive piece as the current crop of English players are sh*t

:-)

The muen is the worst paper out there, worse than the mirror even. Wouldn't know the word independent if it kicked it up the arse. The rag of all rags.
I'd say its on par with the beano but that is supposed to be comical.

Pellegrini, ruining English football and losing us the next world cup - and he's not even here yet!
