Pants is the FA cup keeper. He should play unless injured.

Joe didn't cover himself in glory in the CL so no reason he should step in in the FA cup.

We got knock out in Madrid.

Yep, and only Ronaldo had 7 shots on target that day. Guess where they finished if he only scored once. 25+ more shots beside Ronaldos were fired by Real Madrid that day (not sure how many on target but certainly few).

0 goals conceded in 4 FA cup games for Pantilimon, barely tested I know but looks solid enough.

Should Bobby stick with him for the semi/possible final OR recall Joe?

Could we win the cup without conceding a goal to!

Edit:
IF we go on to win the cup WITHOUT conceding a goal we will be the 1st team since BURY in the 1902-03 FA Cup to acheive this rare feat.

This is gonna be a difficult one, Mancini will be dammed if he does and dammed if he doesnt. My Heart says yes but now I know who we have my head says he has to play his strongest squad. Do we play Kolo instead of Kompany etc etc.

Hold on, Pants nearly saved that Rooney penalty and wasn't at fault for any of their goals last season and has made one cock up all season, against Chelski. So he's shown he is a good keeper and not far of Hart.

One cock up all season?!! You missed the TWO cock ups that knocked us out of the league cup against Villa then? Lets not rewrite history here.

It beggars belief that anybody believes that Manchester City should be run on 'fairness'. That anybody would suggest this club to NOT play its strongest team in the FA Cup semi final for crying out loud is one of the most staggering things I've ever heard.

Sorry Pants but no question whatsoever it's got to be Hart for the Semi & Final if we get there. no slip ups neither game can be taken lightly.

No i'm sorry but we have to start with our best 11, this is a semi final of the FA Cup and the winners of this game go into the final as favourites with an a better than average chance of winning the cup and no way do want to take any chances of anyone freezing on the day. Hart's played there countless times and will take this game in his stride.

Pantillimon hasn't done anything to deserve being dropped but sentimentality does not come into it. This is our club and we should want the best for it and to win as many trophies as possible and not to use it as a plaything to bring players on and feel sorry for them. Costel will know this is the business end and it's a harsh fact of life but thats the world he plys his trade in and is well paid to know what to expect.

Best 11 and if we happen to get to the final and be well ahead bring him on for the last 20mins to feel the experience of a major cup final.

Take 'sentimentality' out of the equation for a minute.
No goals conceded in the whole comp so far tells me Pants is good enough. Dropping him now would be a huge dent to his confidence.
Joe must know the score and probably doesn't expect to start anyway.
Play Pants and we have two happy keepers.

But like ive been told its not about keeping keepers happy its about winning a trophy. Yeah Pants has made two mistakes against villa and one against Chelsea but what about the fair few hart has done this season?

From what i have seen, hart has made more mistakes than pants.

No goals conceded in the comp tells me we played 3 championship sides that were not bothered or just not good enough and stoke who looked like they couldn't care less on the day. He has hardly been tested and while good enough has made 3 mistakes in his earlier games this season. If I was Hart or any No1 I would expect to be starting the serious games in a competition like the FA Cup

Oh the irony if Joe drops a clanger and costs us the cup.

Personally, Pants for me. He's a very accomplished keeper and deserves his place in the FA cup games.

JH for me now we are at the final stages of the Cup. My heart say play Pants as he deserves his chance but we HAVE to win and playing JH will have a greater psychological effect on the opposition.

I have a feeling that Pants may be sold in the Summer as he is far too good to be a deputy, hope not but if i were him i would want to play. He could command a place at many of the top european teams.

Where would the irony be??? Goalies make mistakes, Cech played like a clown the other day but im sure he is still there No1 today
Mancini will make the call and probably already has. Hart and Pants no where they both stand, I also think Pants is better than a No2 so will probs want a summer move
