Do you agree with the announcement timing of pep to city?

That is not bringing it forward is it, that was the day it was announced and the club were aware. You said he brought it forward, how do you know that
Go back to HIM Manuel Pellegrini, he clearly stated it's was his decision to publicly announce he was living us at the end of the season.
He stated it was in the interests of everyone that the news be in the public domain, in his words to end the speculation.
As someone on here has already said, the players and staff at City were aware of Pep becoming manager a long time ago and if you doubt that you are very naïve.

Your not answering the question. If Pell announcing it the day he did was him bringing it fwd, when should have it been announced. If you read my posts you will see that I also stated that the players will have known well before it was announced so no, I am not wet behind the ears. Please answer the question though

It was right to announce as speculation would have been stupid with question all the time Pellegrini chose the moment that has been well documented. He's been on a downward slope since day one so hasn't made any difference and facts show that. Can't blame form on it since we still got to ECL semi after it but I suppose it gives him a convenient excuse

The club in my opinion, wrongly I might add, though they could get away with waiting till the end of the season.

It became obvious post Christmas that Pellegini was leaving as soon as Pep did not sign a contract extension with Bayern.

I would also add, Pellegrini knew 3 years ago that he would be replaced with Pep.

He was a stop gap and in my opinion it has been a huge mistake.

TBF, it also gave several players a convenient excuse too.

Ahhh that excuse again.

Was the Pep announcement the reason why we didn't win 2 games in a row from October to 1st Feb?

Or was it because we couldn't beat a shit villa side where he decided not to put Ihenacho on after Bony got injured.

Or was it getting spanked 4-1 by Spurs (don't use the excuse of the offsides because our goal was) and then Liverpool.

I won't even start on last season either.

Poor Pellegrini

Don't think there was ever going to be such a thing as a perfect timing for the announcement! But it was the worst kept secret in football anyway and as soon as Pep stated he was leaving speculation was going to hit fever pitch, so I think the decision was taken to nip it in the bud and get all the unneccasary speculation out of the way!
Clearly everyone involved underestimated how much of a negative effect it would have!
