Do you celebrate a goal immediately or wait incase VAR rules it out?

I'm usually a glass half full person but when it comes to city goals my first reaction is always - i bet there's an offside.

Last time I properly celebrated was probably Kompany v Leicester

I celebrate straight away at the North Stand end as I’m in line with the penalty area and am pretty good at spotting offsides.

I called the Sterling offside goal at the time due to Sergio’s movement backwards.

The only goal at that end I’ve got done on is Jesus’ “winner” against Spuds for the phantom handball by Laporte.

I just celebrate goals at the South Stand end and hope they count!

I usually celebrate, unless it was obviously a tight one. I don't celebrate penalties though. Partly because we miss so many, to be fair.

Rodri's goal was a particular highlight recently.

I find penalties stressful too. Even if it’s awarded, my mind then shoots straight to “who’s on that can actually take one!”

Most of the time at the ground I’ll do a very conservative celebration and then wait about a minute to see what way they’ll find to chalk it off.
They’re exceptions to that, like Rodders goal against Everton, where you just know it’s a goal.
The sad part is I celebrate more watching on tv cos you have an idea of what’s going on in a much quicker time, whereas at the ground you haven’t got a clue.

Don’t think I’ve FULLY celebrated a goal at all since the introduction of VAR, it seems, most of my time now watching football is spent on analysing the play looking for potential offsides, fouls etc etc , any possible reason they could potentially pull it back on, the only time I’ve come close to fully celebrating is when I’m sure I’ve kept a good eye on events and not missed anything.
