Strike Dates and Overtime Withdrawal Announced​

Dear Colleague,

Thank you for your continued support and solid turnout across picket lines earlier this month.

Your commitment and solidarity is showing the RDG and the government that we will not be backing down. Your continued commitment to action will help bring them back to the table to reach a negotiated settlement.

Further to the strike action earlier this month, and the continued failure of employers to provide suitable pay offers, the Executive Committee has confirmed the next dates for industrial action for our driving grade members employed by Avanti West Coast;C2C, Chiltern Railways; CrossCountry; East Midlands Railway; Great Western Railway; Greater Anglia; GTR Great Northern Thameslink; London North Eastern Railway; Northern Trains; Southeastern; Southern/Gatwick Express; SWR, SWR Island Line; TransPennine Express; and West Midlands Trains:


Strike Dates
Saturday 30th September 2023

Members should not sign on for duty between 00:01 and 23:59. This will also apply to any duties commencing on Saturday 30th September that run into Sunday 1st October.

Wednesday 4th October 2023
Members should not sign on for duty between 00:01 and 23:59. This will also apply to any duties commencing on Wednesday 4th October that run into Thursday 5th October.

Overtime Withdrawal
Friday 29th September 2023

Members should withdraw from all non-contractual overtime starting from 00:01 until 23:59 on Friday 29th September.

Monday 2nd October to Friday 6th October 2023
Members should withdraw from all non-contractual overtime starting from 00:01 on Monday 2nd October until 23:59 on Friday 6th October
