I have been a huge fan of Tevez sine his arrival.

I supported him even after the transfer request as I believe he did it for one of two reasons (depite what has been said by both sides since)...either that it was for family reasons or that he didnt get on with certain staff...now at teh time people believe that this was cook and marwood...But I am still of the opinion that there has always been a problem between RM and Tevez since the early days...I have said I dont think that Tevez appreciated RM's early tactics at the start of his career here and this is where th relationship was spoilt.

I have also said before that tevez has a problem with hsi ego (tho I think its fair to say that most players have...look at Edin's reaction to getting subbed and he comes accross as a very mild mannered bloke...and he did exactly what carlos has been lambasted on here for before!)...milner also said in his interview that he hates it sat on teh sub bench so its pretty fair to say that being on th esubs bench is not something that any pro wants..and this will hammer their ego.

However RM also has an ego problem...i think Tevez's dislike of tactics (and you can almost bet that there have been arguements behind the scenes about this in the early days) has upset RM and he has held this against tevez.

I have said before that both of them need to pull their respective headds out of their own arses!....Rm is a very good manager...tevez is one of th best players in the world...both singing fromt eh same hymn sheet and you have an awesome combination...unfortunately due to ego I cannot every see that happening

There are two sides to every story....what tevez did yesterday was almost unforgiveable...but now we have him saying that he didnt refuse to play....has something been lost in translatio????....Surely tevez must know that doing something so public at such an important time would only damamge his won image in world football.....noone would trust him????

I dont know what to make of it to be honest...but zabba was sat ther eand his english is very good (prob better that Robertos) so he could have translated what was being said....

Did Mancini lose his temper too quick and then tevez see his own arse?

Is tevez lying???

Zabba would be the person to know this.....alsoKolorov is sat next to tevez and seems to be almost agreeing wth him about something....

What the club needs to do is straighten this out and then let EVERYONE KNOW....khaldoon needs to be involved.....If the truth isnt laid out the media will just keep running story and counter story and it will cause upset....relaease the truth and get is sorted...if that means tevez has to go then fine...if its a misunderstanding between tehh two....sort it as there is no doubt that in my mind that if both Mancini and Tevez are singing fromt eh same hymn sheet then it is better for the club

Total bullshit. But not surprising from you. You have always had an anti Mancini agenda but I think you will find very few will back you on this one.

ooh big man!!!

I have no anti mancini agenda at all....I have never called for him to be sacked even when i criticised his somewhat negative tacticcs at the start of his tenure.....I have also praised him in recent months at how he sems to have got the balance of the team correct and how well we are playing...and i have always praised him on how well he has brought on players like Micah and the whole defence since his arrival. I even said that i sort of understodd what he was trying with his forst substitution last night

I also said that teves' behaviour was inexcuasable and while i have no doub that tevez uis at fault some people are numb inthe head if they dont see that Roberto is also extremely stubborn and has an ego which can get in the way at times....Im not saying he is at fault for last night...he isnt...BUT in any relationship it takes two people and both are at fault for the breakdown in teh working relationship between RM and CT

I have no Anit Mancini agenda...i asked the question was tevez lying in his statement for gods sake!....But any normal human being who takes a step back from the situation and doesnt react like some knee gerkers on here need to realise that this has been brewing for a long while while you can attach 99% of the blame to tevez...RM needs to look at how he has handled tevez (he isnt the only player that mancini is going to come up against who can be awkward, stubbborn or a complete arse!) and learn from it...ie get the best out of the player for the benefit of the club....

How many times does it need explaining today to people that if he is in breach of contract then we can sack him, keep his registration so he can't play elsewhere and sue him for loss of transfer fee.

And don't capitalise headers.

He's not in breach of his contract because he is saying that he did not refuse to play. He says he warmed up and then Mancini asked to him to warm up for a second time and he said to the coaching staff, no, because he felt he didn't need to warm up again and he was ready to go on. But they thought he was refusing to actually play.

Just come across a video of Carlos Tevez after leaving City!

what he actually said could be confirmed by Zaba and some other people around him, I hope some official statement will be released soon

No

We can cancel his contract for breach of contract but we cannot keep his registration rights, he'll be a free agent. We also can't sue him for anything.

Exactly by cancelling his contract, that would be giving Tevez exactly what he wants. Because he would be then free to go to another club for mega money. The club has to 'box clever', because if Tevez is seen to be getting what he wants out of this, it will send the wrong example to other players. There needs to be bad consequences for Tevez to show others if you do anything like this the club will ruin your career.

I'm fucking sick of this. There are loads of threads debating the same thing, capital letters and gay stars don't make your opinion more insightful.

I know you love Tevez and at first didn't like Mancini but seem to have grown to like him a bit more (Because he's forced you too with the results he's got us) but the best thing for the club is that Carlos Tevez never plays for Manchester City again. Nothing will have been lost in translation, he clearly didn't want to come on hence the annoyance from Mancini and from Zabaleta

Since Mancini came to the club Tevez has been disrespectful to him on numerous occasions, i wanted him sold in the summer and i hope to god i never see him play for MCFC again. He's been a great player for us but we no longer are reliant on him, in Sergio Aguero we have a player who is younger and is for me a better all round player than Carlos Tevez. Carlos Tevez is no longer needed at MCFC, certainly not as a person and not even as a player. He will never like Roberto Mancini for whatever reasons, at the end of the day we can discuss Roberto's man management skills or lack of them as some seem to think but most players seemingly have no problem with him but at the end of the day he's the boss, he calls the shots and the way Carlos Tevez has been with him not just yesterday but since he came to the club is completely unacceptable, for you to think Mancini and Carlos should put things to one side and get on with it for the best of the club is ridiculous

i will agree on most of what you said there except one thing...I never disliked Manicni...i disliked his tactics....and in my opinion with justification....compare to the way we are playing now. It wasnt results that changed my mind it was the fact that he started playing football the way I believe/hoped we could play.

Agree we could discuss RM's man management skills (and in reality noone will ever know how good/bad they are unles the work under him...and again in erality some wwill think he is good and some bad)....but id say he needs to eb a bit more flexible at least.

I dont think they should put things to one side..i said they should "sort it out" ( but im a realist and know that wont happen)

That is what Tevez is saying. On sky sports news, a journo who had spoken to Tevez reps, said this was their side of the story. That's how he's going to spin it.

No one really knows just how much damage was done last night - on a world stage Carlos has made our club and manager look like fools - so disappointed I feel somewhat numb. Woke up this morning hoping it had been a terrible nightmare ........................so sad

My view is the only person Tevez has made to look a fool is himself.

I thinn he could have seriously damged his future career.....a lot of managers would want him but if he did refuse to play and this is what comes out then i cannt see any top class managers touching him with a barge pole
