Doctor Who

I'd say Capaldi's time is the best parallel to the last two Classic seasons we've got since the revival. Darker, defined more by the intense relationship by the Doctor and his companion than anything else. More than any before or since, his era demands a rewatch. The writing is genuinely prestige-quality, but a general sense of tiredness that the show had accumulated after so long back as a sensation had made people ready to pull the trigger with any mistakes, and the first series did stumble a few times. But go back to it and there's oceans of depth. That first scene between Capaldi and Coleman in the restaurant in Deep Breath has more wit, charisma, and character than 90% of telly manages in a whole series.

Let down by Moffats hard on for Jenna Coleman.
Shirley we've all that at some point ;-)

But seriously as I heard any jokey comment are banned now, Capaldi was great as the doctor, as was ecclestone, but yeah moffat loved making the Doctors companions centre stage and focal point of story arcs, but then RTD rose obsession and donna arc were exactly the same.

Moffat slightly wins out of the reboot as he probably wrote the best stories of the RTD era and actually introduced new alien baddies to fight rather than rehash all the time, like the weeping angels, silence etc.

The empty child/doctor dances, extremis, blink, heaven sent and silence in the library/forest of tge dead are probably my favourite episode of the new who era, all moffat penned

BBC will do owt to put the scousers on the telly.

Flicked it on and god it's terrible

Far too busy for itself, needing to cram a lot in and just a jumble.

How the fuck did John Bishop get an acting part on Doctor Who? Didn’t watch the whole episode as I can’t stand the Doctor but boy Bishop is woeful.. I can’t fault his fund raising exploits in recent years but anything I see him on where he opens his mouth and it’s immediately switched off

Thought it was good, enjoyable family entertainment. Don’t know what anyone wants from it other than that.

New Sontarons looked the bollocks.

Too much sucking of Dipper cock for my liking. Did that plastic scouser Bishop insist on it?

First episode was all about introducing the various strands of this 6 part story.

The complete lack of suspense in the new doctor really does my head in. Same again for this series.
Sigh.

Is it Doctor Who or a visual episode of the Anfield Wrap?
I hope the next Doctor throws in a line about being at Heysel for balance.

It felt like an advert for the Scouse cunts.

Yeah. Even the cliffhanger didn't hook me.

It was a mediocre episode. I'm not sure about John Bishop. He seems to be playing himself. Maybe he'll get killed off by a group of Juve supporting Sontarons?

"Too Woke" for Disney then...
They came in , gave bags of cash to RTD, watch 2 years or self indulgent bollocks, bad writing (bar maybe 2-3 episodes) and a good actor talents wasted and thought fuck this.
