Does Gary Cook understand this club?

Re: Does this tosser understand this club?

Regardless of these comments he is one of the best things to happen to city in a long time, would some of you prefer someone who ignores the fans or actually listens to us?

Seems like some people are only happy when they are moaning, typical city fans eh?

Tosser,tosser........what a stupid fuckin over reaction. Whatever you think, this fella is in our corner,he's listening to the fans and he's trying his utmost to improve us. Your the fuckin tosser here pal.
Oh and just for the record i thought he was bang on about the "typical city" tag,

Make no mistake he is in his own corner, I've calmed down now, suggest you do the same

Re: Does this tosser understand this club?

I worry about his chin, as well, to be honest.

There's something deeply buffoonish about that bohemoth of a chin.

Re: Does this tosser understand this club?

Hardly a tosser for getting ONE thing one. How many years have we had a Q & A with the manager and some players for the fans to participate in?

Re: Does this tosser understand this club?

Listen, it's nice that he chats to everyone and has made an effort to build bridges with fans.

But his job is to run the club and to represent the club within the wider public.

The jury's still out on him for me. I don't like some of the stuff which comes out of his mouth in the press. Yes, this interview is hardly crime of the century and is not going to harm the club. But I worry at his waffle and marketing-speak. This is more of it to me.

And I notice none of his supporters making any defence of that chin.

I didn't like him after the whole no relegation league, no local sponsors and the masters thing but i think he has learnt about all that and he is still learning now. I think he is the best CEO in the league. We are lucky to have him and he will make the odd mistake here and there, he is still learning.

Has anybody not thought of how he came to the conclusion of what CTID means? Who knows if he didn't ask a City fan what it meant and got told that?

CTID means different things to different people.

What i do know though 100% is that this is a huge over reaction. Infact this could be in the thesaurus under mountain out of a molehill.

Re: Does this tosser understand this club?

I think the OP is bang out of order with the 'tosser' comment. Clearly GC is very good at what he does and we have already seen a real level of professionalism in areas of the club that have needed that breath of freshair for some considerable time.

He may have slightly misunderstood our battle crys and badges of honour, but all the guy is trying to say is that it is OK now for us to be far more positive than we have previously dared to be. He makes a fair point as this forum often shows.

However he should also realise that announcing a major event in the shape of the web site and failing to go live despite all the promotion and hyperbole, is in fact, very Typical City so it is his teams job to lose us that moniker off pitch and hope that the investment on pitch does the same.

We will always be CTID of course. Not much we can do about that. That's a positive by the way Garry. It's why we managed to survive long enough to get to where we are going now.

Yet again, IP, no mention of that chin.

Can you name anyone successful in the world ever with an outsize chin like that?

And don't give me Jimmy Hill. He ended up ruining football.
