Does the constant slander about City bother you?

The 16 year old me on the bus from Victoria bus station to Moss Side on match day, getting the pi55 taken by raggy fans many moons ago when we were having lean times says no, I could not care less.
Hope it really hurts them to see us doing well, and the more they complain and trash talk means we are doing just fine.

I honestly could not care less about the part where they complain amount of money spent, Trophies bought wah wah cries... But the part where they say about the human right abuses honestly hurts a bit tbh..There is always a voice in the head asking "are you being complicit in the abuses? Should'nt you make a more of stand for human rights?"

I bloody love it!

I don’t want to be liked, or given fair balanced or positive coverage… not by the commentators or pundits or journalists or other sets of fans. I don’t want fake adulation through gritted teeth. I want to be given as much shit and negativity as they can possibly throw at us… I never ever want to be a mainstream club. Never.

I always want City to stay ‘alternative’, a sub-culture, a club that the masses hate. I love it!

Every bit of negativity aimed at us makes me smile, because it makes our winning that bit more sweet knowing all the people who don’t like us will be squirming and gutted!

When we hammered West Brom away last season and BT had Fletch and Savage going overboard about how good we were in the commentary, and we had Lescott and Barry in the studio being pro-City; I didn't like it it, it was unfair to West Brom, and it really puzzles me how United and Liverpool fans can put up with that every single time they are mentioned on any platform, how the fuck are they not permanently embarrassed by it all?!

I suppose a lot of them choose to be fans of those clubs though through being needy cunts who need to bask in some reflected glory, so it is a bit more understandable. But why do any Blues want it?!

To be honest though, the coverage we get is anti-City but it is nowhere bloody near as anti-City as the permanently offended thin skinned City fans think it is… where the hell did all these soft arse Blues come from? never noticed any City fans like them in the late 90s when I think we had the thickest skin of any set of fans in footy! Some Blues are so touchy over the littlest comments these days, it’s a bit sad to see.

In a bar tonight in Sidari Corfu and Mandy Dingles twin sister started about Grealish money blah blah
She’s a Leicester fuckin Rugby fan no idea about football watching the egg chasing British lions (apologies I have no idea about that shite it was played by the fat kids at School who couldn’t run)
However soon shut her up when I explained the errors of her ways and what I spend to ensure the Jack Grealish gets the wages he deserves
at Marple hall back in the day football was played by lads who were not strong or hard enough to play rugby ;-)

I don’t care until the authorities fall for it. Chelsea got away with it, City do the same thing and get punished. PSG seem to get away with it too. I think it is hilarious that Villa fans are angry because we dared to give them £100m for one player, after all they have spent in the last couple of years

The UAE is lambasted for human rights abuses - but that's based on our Western ideologies of what is right and what is wrong - some countries look at our Western wasteful and immoral lifes in the same way we look at their extremely strong laws.

Adidas and Nike have both been seriously guilty of labour abuses - yet you don't see United/Arsenal/Bayern etc turning down their sponsorship money.

Standard Chartered were fined $1.1billion for "sanction abuses" in dealings with Zimbabwe, Sudan, Syria, and Iran - all of these countries have very suspect "human rights", yet Liverpool are still sponsored by them?

You also don't see clubs like Everton, Villa and many others refusing our "dirty money" in fact......they demand more of it.

Did United, Barca, Juve etc refuse their share of our UEFA fines on moral grounds? No they did not.

When it reaches the point whereby there's a huge outcry and demonstrations whenever we try and buy a player, and clubs start directly approaching our rivals rather than contemplate selling players to us, then yes it bothers me. It also bothers me (and I can't understand the blase attitudes on here about it) when the media are able to create an environment of such hostility towards us that it might prejudice opinion against us in any legal disputes we may then become involved in and strengthen the resolve of hitherto unaffected third parties to "do something about us"
It’s a problem because even now some City fans and podcasts deny the existence of an agenda. Personally I find it unbelievable!

It DOES bother me to a degree...I often get into arguments with people that believe what they read about us. I win them ALL. Facts are facts. If the negative reports about us were true, I'd be devastated, but I know we can all hold our heads high knowing we've done everything RIGHT and are the best run football club in the Premier League.
One bitter rag/dipper or whatever he was, was having a go with the usual uneducated crap about FFP, so I told him that he'd better be well read on FFP as City fans are experts on it...he didn't come back.
