Indeed. We've seen in recent times, particularly in the 1930's and 1940's how words lead to actions.

There's no doubt that much of the lies and smears are driven by other clubs and their lickspittles in the media. I always believed in the past that journalists were seekers of facts, tellers of truths and enemies of injustice. But this current crop of football journalists are (to quote Aneurin Bevan) lower than vermin.

They've whipped up xenophobia and outright racism. None are remotely bothered about facts, fairness or the consequences of their words. They spew out just what their puppet masters, be they club PR teams, agents, advertisers, even political entities, tell them to write.

For those saying they're not bothered, well that's great but I've suffered personally at the hands of some of these lowlife pieces of shit. Delaney, Corbett, the two Harrises, have themselves attacked me directly, and encouraged others to do so.

They've formally complained about me to my employer and to City. Fortunately both stood firm but they could easily have cost me my livelihood, simply because I've stood up and defended my club. They were happily prepared to ruin me and that certainly bothers me.

Fortunately some stood shoulder-to-shoulder with me and they suffered as well. I know two people who were driven to being treated for depression by these shitbags. And those shitbags will think that's a job well done. That's how low they are.

Everyone who considers themselves a City fan absolutely SHOULD be bothered by this constant outpouring of uninformed drivel, slander and outright lies. It's a war and you're all in the trenches whether you like it or not.

It annoys me, sometimes more than it should depending on my mood. It annoys me that it's so persistent that you can see the effects of it in some of our own fans. More and more you see blues referring to our "owners" instead of owner, even suggesting we are owned by Abu Dhabi(owned by a state etc). Which in turn, gives way to the "sportswashing" narrative.

Then there's the apologetic blues who besides trying to act like they are better than every other blue, behave like a spouse in an abusive relationship. They try and justify the treatment being doled out with excuses for what the media and rival fans have been doing for years now. They even sometimes attack fellow blues for standing up for the club.

The fact is City are not owned by Abu Dhabi, the links are their with our owner sure enough but he used his own private wealth, he's the one who got richer. What did Abu Dhabi get out of it, other than than the Etihad exposure via the shirt and stadium deals for their own airline? Mountains upon mountains of negative press attention for over a decade, over a successful club they do not own and never once attempted to share any of the credit for. So there goes the sportswashing theory up in smoke, if it ever was a goal of Sheikh Mansour's it would have been abandoned long ago because the exact opposite has happened with each success.

City wouldn't be where they are without the investment, nobody needs reminding of that but the club has been spending what it's earned for a long long time now. The bitters can't and wont accept that City are a well ran club who have steadily grown their commercial value fair and square, thanks to what's been happening on the pitch and equally as much due to some very smart business people behind the scenes.

Lol did you hear the introduction he got? Made him out to be some world class journalist, with the finger on the pulse on all of sport's corruption cases. He played up to it too by talking about a Russian official tapping him on the shoulder to "challenge him". Such fraudulence, he can't be that deluded, to not know the many times he's been left humiliated after being proven to be talking through his arse, from everyday fans. He's no expert and he's not objective(clear agenda), he needs to stop fronting and get real.

To hear them spin a narrative that the response to their propaganda was unheard of or unjustified to the point they are making out they are victims, is another joke. They got very unprofessional and very personal and that's just the cases we heard about. From what I saw, they simply blocked the abusive commenters, it was the ones who got the better of them on what they were trying to be the authority on, that they couldn't accept. They are due some bad karma for their conduct during that time.

You only have to watch Sunday Supplement back via Youtube, etc, after it was binned, to realize what a croc of shite those journalists talked. Not only did they get paid for talking shite(just like Talk Shite pundits do), they got free drinks and patisseries as well. All for a spoken jolly for 1 hour on a Sunday Morning.
