While I dont believe rioting is necessary and peacful demostation is the way forward ( like the occupy movement ) with the tensions in the states at the moment it just needs a trigger point for riots. this and Black lives matter could be it.

I'm not sure the potential breakup of European Union, which has been a key component in peace in Europe in modern times, the rise of hate crimes, racism, persecution of immigrants and minorities, as well inflicting potential economic strains on Europe and USA will help keep the peace personally. All consequences, or potential conflicts, of both bexit and trump. If you think the world's safer now than a few years ago then good for you. Wish I did.

I am afraid the break up of the European union was/is very likely once it started to head toward being a second Soviet union in some respects. Trying to turn so many countries with so many cultures and beliefs into one big superstate didnt work by using tanks, nor will it work by using Euro,s. As for Brexit, if European leaders learn their lessons from it, then it may survive in some form. If not then we can only hope its break up will be far less violent than that of the Soviet Union.

There is a risk of conflicts in Europe and many of these are indeed attached to immigration and the pace and control of it, it isnt a problem that will be not be solved by trying to bully people into silence by screaming racist the minute anyone questions the wisdom of flooding already broken infrastructures with more people. Sadly history will tell you that mass immigration is seldom a recipe for peace.

The world is far from a safe place, but in terms of a global conflict that would result in nuclear holocaust Trumps election has made that slightly less likely as he will be able to do business with Putin, who like it or not has had the piss taken out of him by Europe and the West and is pretty pissed off by it....and he happens to have lots of nuclear weapons. Hilary on the other hand was going to impose a no fly zone over Syria, which in short meant that when Putins air force came along to bomb some miscreants they would be shot down by the US Air force. People think war is more likely under Trump....he is the best hope of avoiding it.
