Dear old pals, jolly old pals !

Exactly. That is why I believe the Clinton campaign was too passive. Stressing this point and supporting it with a lot of evidence available, which shows that Trump has always been in the Clinton corner and has always praised her consistently. So of all a sudden a 70 year old elitist Billionaire saw the light and realized that Clinton was bad, yeah right. All the things he said during the campaign was smart because he has to obviously play to his base and fuel with the anti-Clinton inflammatory rhetoric but was ultimately disingenuous and the Clinton campaign did not stress this point.

The same way that a UK Govt can have a landslide on less than 50% of the popular vote. None of these systems are perfect but they are what they are - they work more or less and nobody seems to moan if they are on the "winning" side. What I think you are looking for is each vote counting - PR. That was rejected by the UK population in the 2011 referendum - what you end up with is chaos and anarchy as parties try and form a government post election. And governments that last a few month before collapsing and losing their assembled majority often over small disagreements.

It isn't chaos or anything, you just cannot form a majority government nor a government at all for that matter with PR which is able to govern. What many cannot understand is that someone has to lose and it is fair because it is the minority that always loses and rightly so. You simply cannot have a system like PR where a minority hold any power to affect the will of the majority.

On this whole anti-Trump issue, the problem with many in the world at the minute and especially those on the left is they believe their voice is more important than that of the majority and it is precisely why Brexit happened and precisely why Trump got in. When you watch things like Question Time and the outcry of shock over Trump winning you realise the effect of the bias of the media and the total bias in general to the left. This bias is why tetchy issues like immigration are recoiled with comments about racism and this suppresses people who at the extremes may well in the end be racist but still they within the law have the right to speak, the right to a debate and the right to an equal vote all the same, liberals believe differently.

This bias and political correctness has taken away the voice of many and it is this that people have struck out against when they have had the chance through elections and for us a referendum. The truth is the liberal elites have absolutely no idea what regular people are concerned about and their objective view is they must all be racists before even considering looking into why they feel like they do. This ignorance results in pressure which explodes against the political establishment who feel they can tell people how they should feel about things just because their view doesn't line up so well morally.

On Trump people weren't racist, sexist or anything else, that is an excuse made up by the left to make up for the fact Clinton was a terrible alternative who offered a grim outlook who would suppress their views and make zero changes. Change is what the people of the US voted for as we did with Brexit, I was against Brexit but there is a sly side of me that is glad. We don't need PR or anything because right now you can exercise democracy by voting but that is where democracy at it's point of contact should end. We must retain a functional government able to act in the interests of the majority regardless of what a certain group thinks. We cannot have a system where certain people think their view is more important just because it morally makes sense.
