When's the wall going up?

I can't take credit for this as I heard it on the radio, but I thought it was quite a neat summary: Trump's opponents took him literally but didn't take him seriously. His supporters took him seriously but not literally.

Now he's in, I fully expect things to revert to the status quo though unfortunately.

If you knew even the slightest bit about international relations you'd realise the best prospect of stopping WW3 was Trump and not Clinton, well out of the two anyway.

That's not a defence of Trump, more of a criticism of Clinton.

It also sounds a defence of Neville Chamberlain.

Such shameful touting for business, we all thought you were out building a Canadian wall, that or you were shooting fat yanks one by one crossing the border.

I don't think he will either, but that's one of the reasons he's been put there. Unfortunately, as we see time and again, voters seldom get what they are promised.
