US politics is very much pay to play. It impacts the dems as well as the gop.The Dems are still guilty of not fixing campaign finance laws but only one party has consistently been blocking any reforms and that is the GOP…
But that said the gop is almost entirely, blatantly, corrupt. They have no shame in batting for the ultra rich while lying to to the low information voters and hoping they don't notice.
The dems on the otherhand are stuck between principles and the need to raise money to fight the gop.
So wile it's a both sides problem. Both sides are not the same.

I recall his press secretary KayLIE McEnany waving a thick folder around at a White House press conference claiming it was Trump's phantom health care plan. The journos closest to her spotted that it contained only blank sheets of paper.
