I'd think we'd all like 1 trophy, but there is a bigger picture. What is the point in setting the Carling Cup as our target without having targets thereafter. For this club to go in the direction that is intended we have to be looking 3 or 4 years down the line. To just have targets for the season would be naive and costly.

I disagree, he's in America, or was, and what better time thatn being in that country to announce something in the American way. We all know how confident the Yanks are and i believe we are off to the USA in the summer for a tour. Cook has to get the ball rolling now for PR reasons and what better way to do it than announce we are going to be the biggest and best.

If we end up a success in America after the tour then its job done and 1-0 to Cook.

Well said - people are too timid and have got used to living in the scum's shadow they accept it - it is a new world - and lets be glad we have someone with the balls to shout about it

The worst example for me was the AC Milan bottled it saga - they fucking did and then tried to dump on CITY and Cook had the balls to say it has it was - and then got criticised!! Unbelievable
