I know what you are saying but he seems to have cut out a lot of the diving and buying him pretty much guarantees you 20 goals a season minimum. It's his age that would concern me more than anything els. Really can't see it happening though.

here's a scenario:

We bought Drogba because we promised Chelski we withdraw any bid to Torres.

Chelski goes for Torres in a 70mil bid. Torres says feck off, because he wants to play with Drogba.

We get Torres purely on the basis that he wants to team up with Drogba, and likewise. We didn't do anything wrong.

I think his record speaks for its self regardless of what you think of him. Divings apart of the game these days, the WC was rife with it.

I remember Ferguson stating that the Rags would not sign a player over the age of 27 approx three years ago. Sensible policy and one that Wenger believes in too.

If City signed Drogba it would be a demonstration that we would do anything to get a CL place. Drogba, like Torres peaked a couple of years ago. He'll be 33 soon ffs.
