Aguero isn't going to leave because we failed to qualify for the CL for a single season. We aren't getting the best players on the planet whether or not we are in the CL. Income wise seems to be the only thing.
Certainly not a disaster or a catastrophe as some seem to be making out. A temporary inconvenience perhaps.

Seriously though, you're not Peter Mandelson are you, cos that is some serious spin?!
We aren't the rags, the dippers or the Arse, able to trade on a global name afforded them by 20 years in the closed shop that is the Chimps League, or historical success in the 70's and 80's. If we finish outside the top 4, it will be 10 times as hard for us to get back in as it would for any of those bastards. We only got in last time courtesy of Benitez, Hicks & Gillette fucking things up at Liverpool, and by spending huge sums and huge wages to lure in Ya Ya, Tevez et al. The time to attract the best players to City is now, whilst we still have an upward trajectory in terms of image, and whilst Ya Ya, Spanish Dave and Kun are still on the books. How will we attract them without Chimps League football, with a pay structure based on bonuses, and at a time when every domestic competitor is suddenly flush with cash?
If we miss out on the Chimps League spots, and based on the directionless way in which we're currently playing and being managed, I'd say that was a very real possibility, then I reckon disaster's a far more appropriate word than inconvenience.
Plus, once we're out of legitimate contention, I wouldn't put anything past those c**ts at UEFA in terms of restructuring the competition in such a way as to cement the places of the old guard at our expense even further......
