where has he said he wants to leave? did he ask for a transfer, or make it known he wanted to leave through the media? on the other hand, hughes has moved heaven and earth to sign a direct replacement, and has made his desire to move him on pretty clear in his recent press conferences. simple fact is, City have accepted this offer, signed someone else for his position, and made no public effort to deny they wanted him to move on. Dunne has turned down moves in the past. He would be shooting himself in the foot if he turned this one down, but the move was clearly instigated by City.

Without handing in a transfer request the club accepted a bid for him, therefore he is entitled.

The Barton case was different, because due to his buyout clause, we had no choice but to accept the offer.

He is trying to squeeze as much as he can out of City, no he doesn't deserve a testimonial and neither does any modern day footballer. He was a pain in the arse in his early career and was only saved by KK and the PFA after constantly missing training and coming in pissed. Ready to lead a revolt, allegedly, against the club to support SGE. Not a great player either cost us points with his mistakes and OG's just an industrial defender with no class can't pass a ball to save his life. Lucky to captain and be at a great club for so long and player of the season four times, well that is only the opinion of the few thousand OS club members. Now that is Dunne slated let me clarify it is a reaction to the rubbish spoke about him on here when he has the blue shirt on then he gets, like every player, my 100% support, when he goes I will wish him well but I will mark it as the progress this club has made in a short time. Everyone is entitled to their opinion, and I would not dispute many of your points Kramer but it is easy to forget what an average team we have had over the last 30+ years and the contribution by Dunne to keeping us up during his time with us.

As for the SGE revolt I think we all revolted against Franks treatment of SGE and our club at the time; short memory syndrome.

Dunne deserves the money he gets more than some of the new blow ins, and any player with 9 years service (unheard of these days in main) deserves to get a proper fans send off.

Remember Hughes went to great lenghts to retain him last year, because he knew failings and all he was a key player and even kept him as our captain.
