Dynamo Kiev - Post Match Thread

Exactly. We did what what needed last night and yet not only do the armchair brigade slate the team but anyone who disagrees with them.

Losing Vinnie again after five minutes must have hit the team in the balls just as it did the fans at the ground. Then to lose the other centre half a few minutes later made it worse because with seventy minutes to go. any manager would have had problems because he only had one sub left to change things around and with our injury jinx we might have been down to 10 men.

I wonder if the national press will have noticed that we will most likely be the only English name in the draw when Friday comes? It seems very pale Blues need to be reminded.

It just speaks to a wider malaise, and whether the club like it or not, they have played their part by announcing Pep and not immediately putting Pellegrini on display in City squad so people can pelt him with rocks and rotten fruit. It's open season on him, and so it must be very difficult for those people who hate him and really don't care at all about the rest of this season because of him, to bring themselves to enjoy anything. Oh I'm sure they'll say "i'll be there cheering if we get to the final" but really, lets be honest, you can see by the nature of the negativity that it runs deep and it won't go away until the manager's gone and Pep's got his feet under the table.

I was there mate, my toes were still cold this morning.
I'm not sure there's one City fan who isn't made up we're in the draw for the QF - not one.
What there is though, are match going (and armchair) supporters who take in a performance and then come on a City forum to air their views - wherever they're right or wrong. You don't have to jump on every negative post, most aren't doing it because they hate City but because they love them.

Most of the people who are unhappy with Pellegrini were posting about it well before Pep was announced. Some (not me) wanted him sacked last season.

So why are you making up stuff like this.

(I was wrong btw, should have sacked him)

Exactly being at that game sat in the freezing cold up in tier 3 was I'm very sure a different experience than being sat at home with a nice drink in hand. It was for me anyway! To say the game was drab was an understatement. I am glad we got through but had I not been in the cup scheme I wouldn't have gone last night. However, sometimes you don't get value for money at football and last night was one of those nights.

I hope you do irony Billy because that reads exactly like a post from a "Mancini-inner" in 12/13...

I'm interested in the "armchair brigade" comment. Do you just not respect the opinions of any of the "armchair brigade" or is it just the ones who have a different opinion from yours whose opinions you don't respect? Do you even have any idea of who is in the "armchair brigade" or is this just some spurious narrative where fans who are negative are in the "armchair brigade" and those who are positive attend matches?

European football, the tie was over in the first leg, poor performance on the whole last night , but we got the job done which was or aim. Slated on talksport. However I remember other teams doing the same job and being praised for getting the fob done.
