Dzeko and Negredo partnership

Before tonight they had shown no signs that they could play together at all. Tonight they were fantastic.

Thats what he does our Edin. First try goals. A lot of his goals are those, Wolfsburg included. It's only when he's not shoulder with the back four is he not a potent goalscorer. His running with the ball is not pleasing to the eyes, which is why his best contributions are always first touch goals, or first touch assists.

Expect him to bring the ball a few touches from 20-30 yards out, then it gets tricky.

Completely agree, they played fantastically tonight. West Ham were absolutely appalling though.

My concern is that if we were playing Barcelona away tonight, he'd have picked exactly the same team and I have my doubts it would have worked out as well as it did tonight.

I know he is playing advantage, but the reff looks like he is cheering us on :)

Tell you what, I'm happy Pellers has more patience than me as the partnership looks like it's really starting to come together. If only we could get Dzeko/Aguero going well together we'd be hilariously overpowered in the attacking department. Dzeko reminded me of his Bayern performance tonight, long may it continue.

Its fine playing them at home, particularly with Aguero and Jovetic out. Still not convinced they're right for away games.

I said after Blackburn that they should never play together again. Thankfully I'm not the manager.

I said the same.

However can we make footballing judgements of our ability given West Ham's performance?
