Dzeko [Merged]

Dzeko

Dzeko did ok for me but he has the Demeanour of someone who knows they are NOT 1st choice in BIG games he scores goals he gets dropped it's a real shame for me he's a top player and top bloke we just have to many 1ST TEAM MENTALITY players

You are so clueless, it's funny.

Let's apply your 'logic' shall we? That manager (Ancelotti) you would much prefer, tell me what happened to his position at Chelsea?

P.S. If you want to get yourself some football knowledge, try reading up on the WHOLE of Mancini's managerial career.
You can't compare Chealseas squad and ours. For God's sake, they maybe have 1 player quality enough to play for us.

We have the worlds third best squad. Barcelona, Real and then City.

Dzeko couldnt hit a cows arse with a banjo today , but he is the type of player who needs a run of games , and our squad rotation just will not work for edin , he is top quality , but you cant play him once a month. Aguero is also off the pace at the moment , but class will shine through in the end.

Spot-on: He also needs to be supplied via a quick attack from mid-field and we didn't have that today. I think that, once McNeill's tactics became clear, he should have been taken off; he can't do his stuff in a packed 18yd box.
Horses for courses.

He's still quality, but when he is played, our tactics must be altered to suit his abilities, perhaps with two wingers playing on their correct sides?

Today, Mancini changed his personnel but not his tactics, which was desperately needed. I think that he only has one tactic and style of play and we need alternatives.

Tell us, AgueroO.

Which team do you support?
First things first, IFK Gothenburg will always be my number one. But, because of the modern football (that clubs like plastic clubs like United started) IFK will never ever have any chance on international level.

In England I support City, but I can never be a real cityfan. I am not english, I only visited the UK once and so on. I think it's pathetic when swedish, chinese and american people call them real fans for some club in some country they can't point out on a map. If I visited Manchester I would have to use Google Maps to find our stadium, so no I am no real City fan.

Maybe in 10 years I will stop support City, I def. do it if City becomes like United with chinese people who call themself real supporters.

I started to follow city when svennis was the manager.

Re: Dzeko

Thanks AgueroO.

That explains a lot.

This seems to be the problem. His best performances are where he has had time and space. He's not the player to play against a "park-the-bus" type team. His best performances have been against open teams like Spurs, Arsenal in the CC) & the rags.

Re: Dzeko

Very ragcafe/rawk type of thread this one.

Have mixed opinions on this one, to be honest footballers either have it or they dont, some games they do well or get lucky others they look totally shite.

Dzeko for me is a good player but not one i thought was very skillful.

I think the problem is that teams seem to have learned that they will never outplay us so the only way to get anything out of the game is to make sure they have EVERY player behind the ball when we have possession.

This in itself has left little room for the forwards to have little if anytime on the ball and only the BEST strikers with very quick thinking footballing brains will score.

Van persie has this balo has this, Dzeko does not he needs lots of time and space.

Think bobby needs to think long and hard and maybe change the way we play a little because theres too many players losing form because there not scoring
due too opposition defenses squeezing the life out of us.

Yes he played shit today but so did a few others and im embarrased by the number of people who seem to forget that we are still top!

We were not on our own this weekend
them/chelsea/spurs all dropped points or failed to capitalize aswell

Re: Dzeko

Guidetti is a more complete player than Dzeko. Clinical finishing, smooth first touch, etc.

Dzeko today just completely tanked my opinion of him.
