IMHO mascherano is better than de jong. but he is not good enough to be regular at barcelona.
now , IF we have to build a world level team (that i think is what the owner want) we need to think about who is and who is not good enough for world level.
and , listen to me , dont talk to me about united becouse i believe they currently AREN'T world level.
They of course aren't and they are winning the league (with the refs help, just enough) with that style. That's my point too. An additional point is there is a number of individuals in Utd who aren't world class, and yet it works.
As per City becoming world class I agree in the longer term, but before that something needs to be won, and the current DeJong is more than enough in that position for that to happen.
