Dzeko VS Negredo

just asked my mrs and she said "oh easily Negredo when he gets the ball he keeps it but that Dzeko just loses it every time"
she not to much of a stat person really

It really looks that way i have to admit it to you.
BUT if Dzeko is played regulary and see he is in important plans his confidence grows and than he doesnt lose the ball that much. On the other hand he is better finisher than Negredo.
Some people when they are under pressure for instance cant score a goal.
Dzeko when is on preasure looks clamsy.
IT CAN BE FIXED IF THERE IS A WILL IN THE CLUB. But i think it is not. ( That year 4 against Totenham Dzeko was not clamsy, his confidence was high and he was delivering. ) This year he will hardly deliver if he will play every 2 game. But who knows maybe i am wrong, i hope so.

I don't think Negredo or Dzeko need to be #1. You lads are getting a bit Americanized. Over here in the U.S., it's all about finding one player on the team who is a leader. It is a dumb concept which comes from watching too many superhero movies like Spiderman, Batman, Rambo,etc. At best, those movies are childish and not realistic even as metaphors. The best for City would be if Dzeko/Negredo combination continues as it has thus far. Sometimes one of them plays, sometimes the other, but both are awesome, inspired and motivated (regardless of what some may think, they have been awesome this season thus far).

OK. you are right. But i would not be so firse in defending him. if i did not read the shit from some posters in THIS FORUM. That the player of his caliber is shit, no good and so on. I was just pissed because of that. All i want is for him to have a proper role in city or to move on. He deserved it.

Negredo is the better player and should be starting all the tough games

Based on what we have seen this season so far, Negredo contributes more to the team. Dzeko is probably a slightly better finisher and shoots better from distance, but Negredo looks like the perfect foil for Aguero and both of them make defenders sweat for 90 minutes. A real Beauty and the Beast strike tandem.

How many from distance has he bagged for us? Can only recall a few now I realise he did it on a fairly regular basis for Wolfsburg but that's along time ago & not an attribute id associate with him in a Man City shirt.
Negredo probably scored more than Dzeko from long range last season than Dzeko has produced in all his time here.

I'm hesitant to post, the extreme Dzeko fan boys have soured my opinion of him so much that I'm worried I've subconsciously erased most of Edins positive contributions for us.

Negredo had the most shots from outside the box than any other player in La Liga last season but every one of his goals was from inside the box.
