Dzeko

He needs games just like Silva did, and Kolarov.

Not just a question of him adapting, but the team learning his game too.

Very strange Game tonight, Silva did tryed but Tevez was everytime passing Crap to anyone.

He played a Pass behind Silva so that he can starting into the Line, before one Chance when Foster got quick out and saved.

Dzeko showed once again how good he is, got the Foul before Kolarovs Goal, but i´m not sure how this can work, he is a Footballer not a waiting Goalscorer like Bent.

No one passes to him, it is Adebayor all over again as Silva et. al. are only interested in giving it to Tevez and Tevez is only interested in giving it back to them if he isn't going for glory.
Really feel sorry for him, our style doesnt suite him at all. Our game plan is basically pass to Silva or Tevez and let them do something.

Armaan,

You are right ......

There are vast numbers of utter fuckwits linked to this message board.

Simply ignore them.

They won't actually go away, but just ignore them.

At Wolfsburg, the tactics were about Dzeko being on the end of a well rehearsed move. He proved to be incredibly skilful at converting chances.

There has been a history with us of signing players who joined us after leaving a successful spell with the selling club. They then struggle and, after an unhappy, rather fruitless spell, go on to reinvigorate their career at another club when we sell them on.

I think the majority of people posting about Dzeko are questioning the system he plays in, not questioning his ability - although 15+ wonderful chances, 1 goal........

15????

Very Funny stuff, which wonderful Chance did he got? The only wonderful Chance was Micahs Cross, and he made it.

why do Silva and Tevez simply ignore Dzeko ?, it's as if he is not even there

I've been saying it for months and I'll continue to say it...

Someone needs to teach Tevez to pass.

Once tevez learns to pass the ball we might actually get somewhere. On the ball he one of the best there is but he simply cant pass and the players around him suffer because of it.

CORRECT

I'm a Dzeko fan - have seen about 90% of his games in the last 3 years. This was one of his worst games. But having said that, the overall team play for me was shocking. What did he get today to work with?
I'm thinking if City plays like this, with zero creativity and ideas (except Silva, but one player is not enough), not to mention, about 4 passes to Dzeko all night, he might consider Italy by the end of this season for a good reason. Still want him to succeed for City.

Dzeko's style is not "put the ball out wide and let a winger or fullback cross it to me so I can head it in". This is a myth. He's not fucking Peter Crouch.

I assume most people who say we don't play Dzeko's style are people who think we should just because Dzeko is tall.
